I think you need to be at least 21 and have 2 years of experience on imgflip

I've asked this myself.

First, Dylan, (AKA Imgflip) asks if more mods are needed.

Then the Global AND Community mods put names forward (Minimal 18 years of age and a good mod history.) Then they vote. Whoever gets voted is asked if they'd like to be a mod. If they say no, they ask the next person.
