I feel like I need to put this out there that not all Christians are the type to force their beliefs on others, in fact a lot of the younger generation of Christian’s are actually trying their best to educate their parents on how it’s not ok to force your ideas on others. Not all Christians force their ideas on other ppl.

You'd be right.

Not all are. But the problem is, those who do force their beliefs are gaining too much power and trying to marry church and state.

That is one reason to give the new generations like gen Z a chance. I know that other people don't want to know so I don't force my choices on others.

I get notifications about this meme, and it reminded me of something yesterday. We were just getting home, and my mom found a paper, it was of course one of those Church things. That was apparently the 2nd one we’ve been given, my mom said “I think were offending them”. I think she said this because of all the Satanism stuff is and around our house. Lol

You know, this actually happened once when I was home alone. My parents decided to take one car. Since my dad's truck was in the driveway, they must've thought somebody was home. I heard knocks at the door, but I'm not allowed to open the door if there's no adults home. So they tried to knock again, and again, and again, until they just stopped. Apparently, they left us an ad for their church in the door handle, as discovered by my parents when they got home.

Not gonna lie, I'm kinda questioning my religion, so I might be interested to check a church out.

They are missionaries. They aren't forcing anything but just asking if they can teach you about their beliefs

Yet they lack the foresight to see that there are churches literally everywhere in America. If someone was genuinely curious, they'd ask.

True but its not accessible by A ton of people and if you just don't answer you don't have to talk to then
1 up, 2y,

Then they can call the church, if the church is inaccessible.

You can't call. The only way to call is to go to the church and ask the bishop etc

Then that's the fault of the church for not having options of availability. If they *really* wanted to "save souls" they'd have means of being contacted instead of relying on people soliciting at your property.

Just to let you know what Mint said was incorrect. You don't have to go to the bishop, at least in my religion.

We have missionaries go around because we believe that one day someone might change their mind and want to learn about our church. I believe you can actually say that you don't want missionaries on your property and they have to leave you alone, but I don't know if that's correct.

Thats not my church. Mine is asking if you want to learn about to what we believe in. My church believes that whether you go to church or not you will go to heaven. And you Will come back to earth for the second coming.

"My church believes that whether you go to church or not you will go to heaven." So why bother people in the first place? You're giving yourselves extra work for something that is already taken care of.

That's B. S. I live in Texas. I am surrounded by churches, and every church has a phone number. Usually on their sign board, if not their Google maps page or website/Facebook. Most churches have some sort of online presence these days specifically for this exact reason.

I live in Utah where there isn't a phone number for every church there is only one social media account for it
0 ups, 2y
So you could reach out to their social media account if you wanted to contact them. This eliminating the need for door to door interactions.

Also, on the same coin, no one is forcing you to pay for a movie that has Two guys, or two girls having a relationship, or trans people.

So you were pissed off, so you used the Lord's name to express that anger thereby taking his name in vain.

Do Christians not preach to not take the Lord's name in vain?

Gah those who leave their homes cities states and even countries for two years are missionaries. I am not old enough to be a missionary
1 up, 2y
I was Moron once, I am well aware of what a missionary is. Hell, I was baptized at age eight, I lived in Utah, I walked the Temple Grounds, saw their museum, everything. I was devout.

But what's this have to do with taking the Lord's name in vain?
0 ups, 2y,

Being pissed off doesn't excuse it. You can use Christian swears like "What in the name of Bill Clinton" or "Holy crap" like I do! Although I do agree calling us all hypocrites was a bit out of line Cerebrophage

Hey if you're serious about that you can request missionaries from my church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) to come to your house and teach you. Just a suggestion, and remember not all missionaries are that great, but if you're serious just letting you know there is an option for that.
