I can speed read information, but if I'm reading a novel I have to read it at speaking voice speed and make a movie of it in my head or it's just not fun. The whole "I finished reading this giant book in one night" thing never appealed to me.
Depends on the title - In my younger day, I could and did, finish a boo in a night but those days are sadly behind me as I'm on this machine all the time ! :~)
