I personally don't want to turn into an animal, neither would i like it.
Imagine being excluded by the society for being different, or worse; a furry. (no hate btw.)

We just like making animal ocs and looking at other people's animal ocs
People who want to be animals are known as otherkin or therians, they are often confused with furries because some dress like animals in a similar way to how some furries dress like their characters

I want to be Anthropomorphic Animal (a humanized animal)
I like the idea of being smaller and cuter because as a relatively muscular and large person with a crazy personality I seem- intimidating

But if I was smaller I’d just be considered Energetic

Me personally? I just wish to have wings to take flight with. Imagine soaring through the air with the wind rushing past you or just gliding and enjoying the view. Other than that, I would hate the concept. I also like to see fursonas as an alter ego like everyone here has been saying. Or some just have fursonas to make them feel comfortable.

For me its a way to express myself in a way that makes me happy as a way to cope with depression. But the main reason I guess would be escaping the real world and having fun. And if I do something embarrassing with my dino mask on people don't knowbits me so I don't have to worry

I just don't like humanity, I think that statement stems from the recent tensions between me and my parents and my really bad social anxiety.

Also I've been studying genetic modification since I was 6 (that's a fact) I know anthro animals are not to likely to be able to exist but Go***amn I will try

Also i think it could potentially be possible to edit genes to give people animal characteristics but only in the far future and they would probably look very cursed

I'm autistic, claustrophobic, and sweat easily, so the fursuit concept terrifies me. I'm also a terrible artist and have no money for commissions, so I don't have a fursona. For me it's moreso that there's a large amount of crossover between my specific, unusual, interests and furry artists, so the only way to find stuff I like is usually through furry groups.
