In Christian belief, Lucifer rebelled because he wanted God's power for himself. He was simply evil, & being turned into the Devil was just desserts. Islam says that having created humans,
God told the Angels to serve them from now on. Iblis's love for God was so great that he couldn't bring himself to bow before
humans & was thus punished for insubordination.
