Firstly, I agree that they are both derogatory terms.
But they are not equally bad. There is a reason people are more comfortable saying
“cracker”
then they are saying
“n$%^&ger”.
As we all know, there is a long-ass history of where the n-word came from.
It was a degrading insult that slave owners used on slaves - solely based off of racism. “Cracker” is a degrading insult that came from the slaves to the slaveowner. In case you don’t know, it’s called “cracker” because slave owners would crack their whip when they whipped slaves.
Crack = cracker.
This is explaining that the n-word was based on RACISM, while “cracker” was based on ACTIONS, and true f**king events. There is a difference between an insult, and an insult that has truth behind it. So obviously the insult with real
disgusting
horrible
truth behind it will end up being more cautiously used .
