Thoughts on family vloggers? Weird or not? Is it healthy?

I actually feel bad for those super successful family vloggers on YouTube because their kids have a camera in their face seemingly 24/7. I'd be embarrassed as a teen looking back and seeing thousands of views on that video of me potty training. I wonder how much of their life is authentic and how much is for views. That's just me though, what do you think?

It's okay I just thought I would ask.

It is horrible, there is a channel based solely on the mother getting pregnant and having a baby and the kids do various challenges to “ determine” if she will have a baby or not and it’s messed up, one of the kids missed a bean bag throw and later broke down when the baby was a miscarriage because he thought it was his fault, it’s so messed up. And there are channels that have adopted special needs kids just for views and get rid of them when they fade out of popularity like how screwed up do you have to be to get rid of a special needs child who thought of you as his mother because he isn’t “cool” or “popular” it’s messed up and you can’t change my mind

I've only seen a couple of these, and their projects evolved around making slime. I thought it was pretty tedious after just watching a little while, but the people who made them had numerous videos posted. I guess it can be a fun family thing to do if you're into that kind of stuff.

I don't know much about it so I don't have an opinion either way, but I'm sure many people take it too far

Some of them I don't mind, like if it's a family of singers or some other talent or they're teaching a skill like budgeting, planning, other practical things but some go overboard and at times TMI content. I wonder when they can have time to live a normal life that's not in front of a camera. And I worry it's teaching kids that views and follows and getting monetized is the only scale of success.
