Shiroi: *finds it* found it!

???: Great. *runs over to him, takes the scroll and unrolls it carefully* Now...where were you going?

Shiroi: *points to a small village* there to see the lichs whereabouts

???: *rolls up the scroll* Right. I know where that is. Although...we're going to be attacked quite a few times trying to get there. You ready?

Shiroi: k *helps look*

The red-haired girl is holding hands with the human girl, and the goat boy waves over to your oc. “Ello!” He calls. “You there, with the glasses!”

*All of them are in a library sort of place, only there are no books, and no people except him. The walls also seem to have little holes in them. ??? is sitting there (with his glasses) relaxing and reading a book, occasionally unsheathing ans sheathing a dagger at his belt like it's a habit. Another blade, relatively short sword, is sheathed on his back* (This is a proper intro that I forgot to give most of everyone else T_T)

???: Huh? Wh-? *looks over* Me has....glasses. Yeah. Me?

The goat boy approaches him, the other two close behind. “Scuse me, could you help us find something?” He asks.

???: Uhm. Sure. *sheathes his dagger properly and closes his book* Was kinda bored anyway. What do you want to find?

The human girl speaks up. “I’ve lost my sword. Normally I wouldn’t be too worried, but it was the one that my father passed down to me, and he’ll have my head if he finds out I lost it.”

???: Ah. Fathers are awfully picky about who they pass down their swords to. *he fiddles a bit with a sheathe on his back, carrying a short blade*

*Something is heard moving through the halls, not quite a giant, but definitely keen enough to pick up on Makane's frustrated exclamation*

*The scrabbling on floors by claws is heard, then silence. Then, after a few seconds, a rhythmic flapping sound, getting closer. Mark draws his sword, and Rinn hefts his own blade, along with his pebble in his other hand*

Byakuya: *He took out the knife he had in his shoulder earlier* Don't know if you'll be useful

Rinn: Right. We're off! SEe you MElina! *Waves and steps out*
Marcus: *finishes arranging his things and turns to Melina* Love you.
Melina: *smiles* Love you too. Kill a giant for me.
Marcus: *smiles* As the lady says. *steps out*

Gaara: *Follows, carrying Makane on a cloud of sand*

Marcus: But, again, hill giants are rather short for giants. This is built for much bigger giants.

Gaara: That's concerning.

Rinn: *thinks a bit* Oh yeah. The fun part is, the larger giants are the crueler and smarter and magickier of the True giants.

Rinn: *whispers, suddenly more cautious* Yay.

Makane: *quietly* Sounds like fun

???: *walks past without even blinking, occasionally sheathing and unsheathing a dagger on his hip, like a nervous habit. A blade, looking like a short katana, is in it's sheathe on his back*

???: *looks around, realizes he's the only one there, then looks at the girl and points to himself* Moi?

Rinn: An important scroll was stolen. Actually, a bunch of scrolls were, but that one scroll was among them, along with a scroll to operate the nearly millennia-old panic chamber system. So, they're stuck, and I have to retrieve as many scrolls as I can carry, especially those two.

Gaara: We could help out if you'd like.

Rinn: Usually, Marcus trains along this path, which is why we're going this way, and not the main path. But, there are occasional goblin ambushes here.

Makane: Damn- that sucks.
Zuhara: So we could get ambushed?

Rinn: Very much so.

Rinn: *runs to a blue building, which is pretty big, has a courtyard and everything, or had. Most of it was smashed aside and in rubble. But Rinn seemed relieved to find that there wer no bodies scattered here*

Rinn: That means my mentors...probably evacuated safely. Oh yeah! *takes out a stone pebble*

Makane: What's that?

Rinn: Sending Stone. Made it when I was....13? Yeah, around then. I can communicate with any one person with this. Aand I can sense if they have it.

Byakuya: *Walks out with his wound patched up* We've dealt with plenty more.

*to the right, there's a long corridor, small compared to the huge hall, but big nonetheless. To the left, there's another corridor, but way larger, and not as long as the other, clearly meant to lead to the proper hill giant lairs*

Rinn: What? No, I mean which way?

*The first room they walk into is huge, even by giant standards, probably meant to be a hall of some sort. Giant weapons are arranged in a stand in one corner. A rock sculpture takes up the centre, and a giant chest, but openable by normal sized people, is in another corner*

Gaara: Wow. Not bad.

Rinn: Yeah.

Byakuya: What's that chest over there?

Both Rinn and Marcus: Don't want to find out.
Marcus: Could be a mimic.
Rinn: Giant mimic. *shivers*

Makane: Please god no‐

Rinn: O h. Well, which friend do you think I know?

Makane: Nerema.
Zuhara: The one who likes the flirtatious d*ck-

Rinn: *grabs a pebble and gets up, hurls it at another goblin about to hit Gaara with a club. The pebble glows blue and strikes its head and the goblin falls dead*

Rinn: There should be more. *limps to his feet, and draws a shortsword. He uses the lockpick he was holding to turn a key sort of thing on the hilt, and then waves it. The sword bursts into green flame* Push them towards me*

Gaara: *Looking around for the goblins*

*a goblin jumps out of the brush, shooting a shortbow at Makane. At the same time, two Goblins leap out with crude swords, pushing Makane towards the archer*

Gaara: *He grabs the goblins with sand, and smashes them onto the ground*

*One of the goblins get smashed to the ground, but the other one with the sword, and the archer manage to avoid it. Also, the one he did smash seems hurt, but he didn't die. Rinn lunges to the one with the sword with his flame blade, and cuts at it. It barely connects, and the goblin is pushed back, and the green flame jumps from the sword to the goblin on the floor, burning it to death. Then Rinn bends down and picks up another pebble*

Zuhara: Damn that's cool.
Gaara: Makane, you alright?
Makane: Mhm!

*the archer, still alive, shoots an arrown towards Makane's head. Suddenly, someone else jumps in front of her, and the arrow makes a metallic clink on his armor. Seconds later, the goblin archer's head is rolling on the ground*

Gaara: I wanted to kill that goblin...but thanks.
Makane: Yeah, thanks!

Melina: Marcus Yarbrough. You promise me.
Marcus: I promise.
Melina: *kisses him on the cheek* Eat some lunch first. Then you all can go.
Rinn: Can't argue with that. *grins*

Gaara: ..Do we all have to eat?

Melina: Well, if you don't want any, you could wait here.
