The "pro-life" movement is less obviously insane than QAnon, but it ends in the same place: Our political opponents kill babies.

Bold claims I've made, but there is a long history of violence associated with the "pro-life" crowd - the Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood shooter, for instance.

Ironic from a movement that claims to stand for "life." But if you really, truly believe your opponents are "killing babies," then violence comes to seem acceptable, to some.

Even those pro-lifers who never commit a mass shooting at an abortion clinic are conditioned to regard their political opponents as not just wrong, but fundamentally evil, entitled to no respect and not worth working with on any level.

Has the pro-life movement contributed to a toxic polarization in our politics, which has increasingly left America unable to accomplish basically anything significant? No doubt.

The Founders warned us against intermingling religion with the state. This is why!
