I've struggled with depression for a lot of my life, I usually like listening to upbeat music when I'm depressed. Idk if your one of the ajr haters but if not then I'd suggest way less sad, it helped me through a bad week depression-wise

Tbh I don't really know how to help. When I get depressed I don't really do anything I just try to figure out why I'm depressed so I can work on fixing it but if you don't know why then there isn't anything I can do. I'm sorry, I just kinda freeze up when I have to help someone with depression because of my own trauma and I'm scared of therapy because multiple therapists I've gone to have just yelled at me whenever I went to see them about "oh we only have 5 minutes left in our session, what you gonna do? Oh we have 3 mins left what are you gonna do?!!?" Instead of helping. I just don't know what to do I'm sorry.

I know this is late, but what I would do is go from depression to sadness.
Just see the sad in everything.
And then, once sadness comes back, the others will follow.
