Most of the stuff that was controversial with Disney Canon has been around the Sequels and, from what I hear, Obi Wan. Even the Sequel trilogy got off to an ok start, it was really Last Jedi.
Some of the DisCan novels and comics can be alright. It depends on who writes what. Hollywood has a crack head level addiction to divisive click bait, hot take, $h*t storms in the comments section.
Force Awakens was a love letter to nostalgia, Last Jedi was hate mail, and Rise of Skywalker was a hastily written apology. Solo was a harmless mediocre work that nobody asked for, but probably wouldn't have lost money if it wasn't used as a whipping boy for Last Jedi.
Rogue One was pretty well received, and I think anything that Filoni spent serious time on was, too (Resistance had his name on it, but I doubt he had as much time with it).
Star Wars Visions was pretty good, but Disney didn't focus on it because Star Wars Visions debunked that narrative about the fans.
See, the accusation against the Star Wars Fandom was that they were anti woman and anti foreign influence. Star Wars Visions was made in Japan, very in touch with it's feminine side, and sometimes felt more like anime that just so happened to be Star Wars than something obsessed with being Star Wars-and few fans complained about it. Few that I know of.
So it shows that, regardless of how toxic some of the fans can be, a lot of the criticism against Kathleen Kennedy and her Karens, criticism from people of all races, ages, and genders-is not about toxic masculinity and white supremacy.
The populist left and populist right has never been more united, and people these days are intelligent and won't be easily placated with corporate swill. They know that those in Hollywood's elite are a bunch of misanthropic p3d0phi1es with the mindset of ancient priesthoods and medieval aristocracy. They're stuck in the past century, don't like competition, and quite frankly are going the way of the dinosaur. They're jealous of the rising indie and anime scene, and have that thanatos death instinct to take the rest of the world to hell with them. They need to learn to age gracefully, because their antagonism towards humanity is doing a damn fine of job of busting up their own monopoly and weaning us off of our addiction over said monopoly-and escapism in general.
Know what? Keep doing what you do, Disney. Keep treating us like shit. We need to learn to live without you.
