The 1990s are remembered fondly because of the post-Cold War economic boom and the apex of Pax Americana power, but in terms of policy-making, it really wasn’t that great. That was the decade that solidified mass incarceration, Reaganist economics, NAFTA and free-trading orthodoxy, corporatist selling-out to China, and all of the other crap that has decimated American manufacturing and the Rust Belt. Our economy generated massive amounts of wealth and continued to pretty much distribute it upward. The risks of global warming were known even back then; policy on that front was lax.

Also, the Democratic President at the time was the biggest perv to ever occupy the White House. Bill Clinton is shunned by the modern Democratic Party as a skeezball, for good reason. Nominating Hillary Clinton in ‘16 was risible, and the single best justification for voting Trump.

Joe Biden (who back in the day was a lock-step proponent of all the crap I mentioned a couple paragraphs ago) has evolved a bit, but he lacks the urgency required of this moment and at the end of the day the best thing commending a vote for him is that he’s not Trump.

Second, most conservatives agree with you on child pageants and all condemn child abuse from the Church; when the left starts condemning the child grooming, then I’ll believe you actually care about the well being of children. Third, abortion is not going anywhere, all a repeal of Roe v Wade would do is give the decision of whether baby murder is legal or not back to the states, and we all know states like California, New York, and Illinois will still keep baby murder legal up until the point of birth. I like sex. It’s a very pleasurable experience. However, I’m not obsessed over it. It’s a little thing I have called self control, something modern leftists severely lack.

Hey, I didn’t say it was perfect, but it’s certainly better than child grooming and race hustling. Bill Clinton at least knew what the American people cared about, hence “It’s the economy, stupid!” a lesson Sleepy Joe seems to not give a shit about. Not saying he did a perfect job, or even a good job, but at least he acted like he gave a shit. As for climate change, left and right can argue about it until they’re blue in the face, but the fact is that we can all agree that eventually fossil fuels are going to run out and we better wean ourselves off of them before we do, plus the sooner we do, the sooner we can enjoy the benefits of cleaner air and water, something we can all support.
