There are other America made guns that are just as or more reliable than an AK-47. You don't need to support Russia by buying their guns.

No just because ak47 is a Russian design don’t mean you have to buy them for Russia you buy than from Serbia Egypt pakaistan etc

I think I could be wrong. I know the AK-47 was designed by a Russian. Mikhail Kalashnikov invented the rifle.

But just because it was invented by a Russian in Russia does not mean that all AK-47's are made in Russia. So my comment about supporting Russia is only true IF there are any AK-47's still made on Russia. Like you said, some or all are made in Serbia, Egypt and Pakistan.

So I rescind my comment about supporting Russia. And what I meant by supporting Russia was buying arms that are 100% Russian made.

The Springfield Armory M1-A is a very reliable rifle and it is very accurate. It is the successor to the Garand M1 and that rifle is what was supplied to our soldiers in WWII, Korea and the first part of Vietnam. I'm sure there are a lot of other semi-automatic rifles on the market that are just as reliable as the AK-47 but I don't know enough about guns to rattle off a list.

Oh thanks I know a lot about the aK but not as much as aR style platforms. I mean also you can just bye them at
pawnshop for like 150$ I read more about foreign guns etc

I don't know much about any guns really. I just have picked up a few things here and there from those who do know about guns. I did watch a TV several years ago, hosted by R. Lee Ermey where he compared the AR-15 to the AK-47. The end result of the show was that the AR-15 was more accurate than the AK-47 but the AK-47 was more reliable. It had far less jams.

I have a friend who is an NRA instructor. He told me about the M1-A. He thinks that is a better self-defense and/or hunting rifle than the AR-15's. I didn't discuss the AK-47 with him so I don't know what his opinion is.
