"I was exposed to worse" doesn't make this okay. It means you were exposed to inappropriate shit. That's like an abuser excusing beating his kids because he got his ass whooped as a kid.
BTW my problem here is not the gayness, it's the overt sexuality of the venue. You can expose kids to LGBTQ concepts (boys can like boys and you don't have to succumb to gendered stereotypes) without intentionally exposing kids to an oral sex reference. So why are kids being exposed to oral sex references?
The fact that people like you can't tell the difference is why many parents don't want others discussing this with our kids. We know that other adults judgement cannot be trusted to know what is age appropriate.
