Rule of law has broken down in Republics several times throughout history. And, oddly enough, has also been a sustaining feature in governments that aren't even Republics.
So that would make your definition a bit of nonsense, then, wouldn't it?
I know what the sliding scale of decay is-
Democracy tends to slide into anarchy and lawlessness.
Republic tends to slide into tyranny and dictatorship.
However Democrats and the Left seem bent on hitting the warp speed button to either anarchy or dictatorship. Whichever gives them the feeling of power over others.

Ok, well, OBVIOUSLY I'm going to dispute both those statements on the grounds that you clearly got them by changing the definitions of these words to suit your worldview.
A Republic means there's no king. They usually come about in the first place because there was a history of tyranny from a despot to move away from.
Democracy means people vote. They usually come about in the first place because there was an inadequacy to the lawmaking process where people would argue without actually implementing any policy at all.
We already know you hate Democrats - there's not much gained by making up nonsense definitions of words to do that for you.

I guess it would be nice to get a brake from voting every four years.. oh wait everyone has the freedom to decide weather they want to vote or not....

The difference is democracy is a how (with people voting) and republic is a what (a country with no king).
