Ponies just wanna know why she imprisoned her own sister for a 1000 years.
There's probably some kinda Pony World War 2 thing going on, where Luna was responsible for countless deaths and imprisonment was the mildest thing Celestia could do. But it always seems weird.

i mean, the reason i think she did that was because luna turned into nightmare moon, and in order to stop her, (in short of using the crystal harmonies) was to banish her to the moon.

I know, but the TV version of it never portrayed Luna as very evil, so it's tough to envision her deserving her punishment.

luna was probably thinking she was doing something right, but doing the wrong way of doing it.

I want a movie addressing the Celestia/ Luna/ Discord war a thousand years ago. Of course, Hasbro can't make it because it would cost way too much for a movie that doesn't include the popular mane six and therefore couldn't break even at the box office.

unfortunately yes, that will never happen anytime soon. but that doesn't mean, it may not happen in the future when they have ideas.

Hasbro needs either high views or toy sales to offset the cost of making a TV movie, so they'd probably make another Netflix gen 5 movie instead. It would definitely offer better merchandising.

They just want money. Hasbro was a toy company before they were a TV production company. They gotta sell toys.
