What about when starlight to break up the mane six and almost destroyed Equestria? That's a little evil.

yes, but think about it. she didn't realize that what will happen in the future if she does that. All she ever wanted was a village where everypony is equal, but who destroyed that for her? twilight and the mane six, so who's the real evil pony in that story? because if they never did that, starlight would never have done that.

That's one way to look at it.

lol, and there's always more than one way to look at things.

and besides all she ever wanted since the village incident was for twilight to feel the same way that she felt, she never intended to destroy equestria.
