The thing is, when the Turning Red hatebase tries to explain why they hate Turning Red, (most of the time) the only thing they say is just absolutely memable random sh*t. Like, they literally are just trying not to admit it's a good and at LEAST a groundbreaking movie. Other hatebases like the Sonic 06 hatebase explain valid and understandable reasons why they hate something. (Sensitive controls, very broken game, the Kiss-we-do-not-mention, some parts are unfairly designed, Silver's boss fight as Sonic-"It's no use!", character personality was toned down from previous games, etc.). The Turning Red hatebase just comes up with random sh*tty points and excuses that just do well to make them look stupid. Don't get me wrong, there are good reasons to criticize Turning Red (The film struggles to juggle many metaphors at once in it's runtime, contrast that with Godzilla 1954 which had the EXACT same runtime and was able to juggle a lot of metaphors pretty easily by just compiling it into one main metaphor-nuclear destruction and the suffering caused by it, cringier lines then needed in some bits, the actual Turning Red part is pretty weak even though it's the FREAKING TITLE, etc.), it's just LITERALLY ALMOST NO ONE except ACTUAL FANS OF THE FILM brings these points up. And also most of the haters aren't even the target demographic of the film. I'm a teen, so I do like this movie more then, say, an adult (especially the drawing bit, I try to hide my drawings from my mom a LOT-most of it is Godzilla crossing over with other franchises including this one funny drawing of Ming ruining the concert and Heisei Godzilla just walking in and getting pissed bc he has a bunch of 4*Town gear he spent money on and he wasn't able to use it like it should have. I should show some of them on this stream!) because I'm the target demographic of the film, along with preteens and kids. Sorry for that wall of text lol. I'm finished
