Still waiting on those bayonet murder statistics

I just wonder why guns with bayonets or bayonet lugs are "scary assault weapons." Has there been any bayonet murders recently? I doubt it.

Knife murders are really common in [my area] but that's not exactly the same as a bayonet attached to a Kalashnikov.
