My mother did have an abortion. And then she had me. The right to choose benefits families, period.

My mother did have an abortion. And then she had me. The right to choose benefits families, period. | Pro-life morons love to trollishly ask: “What if your mother had an abortion?”; Guess what? My mother did have an abortion. Long before I was born. She and my father were in college: both broke, neither with a job. If my mother had been forced to give birth at that time, they would not have stayed together. They would not have both graduated together — they would not have both moved to Philadelphia together to go to graduate school together and continue to build their lives together. They would not have been able to continue to scrape by together, while my mom finished school and went to work and my dad finished his Ph.D. They would not have moved back down to Tennessee, where my dad found a great job that supported them both, and my mom could finally drop out of the workforce and become a full-time mom. That’s when they had me. So yes, I am a child of abortion rights. And so is my little brother. | image tagged in love | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
