Well, school children of course, being just kids, can only do so much to defend themselves, so I guess the weapon proportionate to the need for them is us grown ups fixing our gun laws for them so that this stops happening entirely.

What gun law do you think would stop this entirely?

Well, let's see... we're the only country having this problem, so whichever law everyone else but us is doing.

"we're the only country having this problem"

Wondering; have you ever heard of Israel?

Apparently, you cannot articulate a law that would both prevent school shootings and respect the rights of law abiding citizens to defend themselves with weapons that even the odds.

Yet leftists are certain we should pass that law immediately

So this guy over here thinks the acceptable bar for school massacres should be set by Israel. Are we ready to put this to a vote yet? I am.

The bar "we don't allow them" is not an acceptable bar? by what logic?

The left is always ready to vote on feelings rather than facts.
That's why they're so unsuccessful at governance

Great Britain hasn't had a shooting since 1996. The secret is, they're not a Middle Eastern Warzone. Australia, they changed their gun laws in 1996 and haven't had a school shooting since, turns out that's because they're not a Middle Eastern warzone. The list goes on. And just about every country in the world is on that list.

But then you said "oh, can't do it, not until we settle the conflict in a Middle Eastern warzone first." Why? Last time I checked, the United States is not a Middle Eastern warzone!!!!

....the question being by what logic and my answer being, by THAT logic?

Can't help you if you just can't follow what's being said.

And you claim that you are not for wholesale gun confiscation.

I've purchased a gun completely legally in the UK. I needed a good reason to have one, but if I didn't have one, then maybe I shouldn't have one.

It's interesting that you said in another name that you did not need a gun.

It's also interesting that you called yourself pro life in another thread because you don't believe that life begins until a person is born.

I guess if you ever served in a military you were a cryptographer either that or a siops officer.

Basically I don't believe anything you say you're just a leftist.

Then guess what? You're on the Internet. You think YOU get more of a suspension of disbelief from people than I do?

They will always deny it, but they believe that gun confiscation to the point of total disarmament of civilians is the answer.

They will yell " I never said that!"

That is absolutely correct.
