[In a distance, the humanoid's ears twitched before they stood still. Perhaps they noticed the cold aura around the Frowner, their grip on the offline machine slightly loose.]
[A few moments had passed. The humanoid had retrieved the machine and was moving away from the wreck, they turned from the gray buildings around them to Dragnoc's genral direction. Suddenly, they paused. The humanoid might have seen Dragnoc.]
[Unfortunately, the movement only attracted the humanoid's attention. They moved closer to Dragnoc, while still being cautious. At a closer distance, the humanoid's long white braid was distinguishable. A tail lashed from side to side.]
[The humanoid took a step back themselves. They held a paw up, probably trying to show Dragnoc they didn't mean any harm. Their other paw held onto the machine. There was something off about the arm holding the machine, but Dragnoc was too far to get a closer inspection.]
"Ey!" [A voice called out. It was female and belonged to the humanoid. She was still in place, her paw lowered. She slung the machine on her shoulder, buckling slightly before standing. The machine itself was on the large side.]
[The humanoid had pulled out the robot from the wreckage when they had heard the dragon walk over. She paused, her ear twitching as she turned around. Her long white braid had turned in unison. The humanoid slightly waved at the dragon, clearly wary.]

[Veige stared at the talons, briefly wondering if the dragon was lying.] "I'll give ya the benefit of the doubt, I guess. What are you even doing here?"

Peaches: I was exploring this city trying to help any survivors
[Veige looked at Peaches, then sighed.] "I hate to break it to ya, but this city is long gone. It's been like this since the bomb attacks." [Veige took a glance at the machine, then again to Peaches.] "The worlds gotten a whole lot crueler."
[Veige's ears flattened as a guilty look spread on her face.] "But on the bright side, a lot of the survivors were found, ya know? This was a long time ago," [Veige continued to pull the machine out of the rubble,] "Stuff like that still happens, but people actually try to stop it. For better or for worse."
[Veige gave Peaches a quizzical look.] "Look, I know you really mean well, but Elaine probably wouldn't appreciate a fruit salad. Maybe a blood bag," [Veige replied, pulling the robot out of the wreckage. She then slung the machine over her shoulder, buckling for a moment before standing up.] "Or a blood transfusion kit."
"I wouldn't know," [Veige admitted, removing a large rock that was on top of the machine,] "Well..." [Her gaze lowered. For a moment, she was silent.] "Except for one. But she ain't the easiest person to be around."

"Carrying blood bags around is probably illegal anyway," [Veige consoled the dragon, taking a quick glance at the robot. The machine's four arms flapped about unhelpfully as Veige tried to find her footing on the remains of a crumbling street.] "And before the idea gets in your head, donating your blood would probably be a bad idea."

[The humanoid jumped, dropping the machine as she turned to see Frost. Probably out of alarm, the humanoid's robotic arm unsheathed a set of long claws.] "Wha-?"

[The claws retracted as Veige gave Frost a quizzical look.] "You're trying to look for another living being," [Veige gestured to the area around her,] "Here?"

[Veige looked a little older. She wore a sleeveless black turtleneck that contrasted with her long white braid that almost touched the ground. Her heterochronic eyes seemed dull as she looked back to the machine. Oddly, the design of her robotic arm looked similar to the offline machine.] "Oi, what brought you here?"
"..." [Veige paused, trying to figure out if he was serious or pulling her leg. After a moment, she sighed.] "Y'know, I'd love to help, but zombies ain't my specialty. This," [Veige gestured too the machine,] "Is my specialty."

The humanoid seemed to be pulling at an offline machine with a mechanical arm of their own. The humanoid's tail swished from side to side.] "Me? Human? Where'd ya get that idea?"
[The humanoid had powerful lower legs, and paw-like hands upon closer inspection. Her eyes were cat-like. Her left arm from the elbow down was completely robotic.] "Eh, don't worry bout' me," [The humanoid gestured to the machine in the rubble.] "I just need to get a friend of mine out of a pinch, then I'll probably be on my way."
