In 1929, a pair of scientists at Princeton University wanted to test how the auditory nerve perceives sound. Their test subject was a heavily sedated, but alive, cat. The scientists, Ernest Wever and Charles Bray, cut out part of its brain and attached one end of a telephone wire to its auditory nerve and the other end to a receiver. A king made his subjects worship the corpse of his beloved; there's a doll that actually grows human hair and seems to be growing teeth and opening its mouth; once, in japan, a girl's torso got severed from her legs by a train. she survived and "walked" around without her legs using her arms to push herself forward. she did this for ten minutes before eventually dying. this event gave birth to the urban legend Kashima Reiko (affectionately name Teke Teke); Isla de las Muñecas or the “Island of the Dolls” is one of the most haunted places in the world. “The Devil’s Bible” exists, and it’s a contract between a monk and Satan. A "witch hunter" used a method to find witches that was quite cruel. he tortured the supposed witch until they cracked and "confessed" (although they did it to escape the torture). the "witch" would then name other "witches" and then the same process would repeat. in the end, over 300 witches were "discovered", a much bigger crowd than the original 9 witches; The Mutter Museum displays various mutations, tumors, and anomalies of human anatomy. The Vent Haven Museum houses vintage ventriloquist dummies.
