First of all, a lot of that stuff isn't just furries, it's society being f**ked up as a whole. Every community has their share of twisted people, and the furry community is no exception. The thing people are doing wrong is judging everybody as a whole. That's like saying everybody who is in a chess club is good at chess. Everybody is different, and it's important not to forget that. In conclusion, yes, the furry community has some bullshit, but so does every other community. And most people aren't a part of that.
