What I've seen lately on this stream

History is complex and touches on sensitive subjects, including war, racism, sexism, genocide. There’s no way to get around judgment calls.

We allow a certain amount of dark humor. That said, we like to keep this stream free of pro-Nazi memes (for example) and stuff that is egregiously factually wrong. Holocaust denial, for example, is a classic case of something that won’t be featured here. There is really such a thing as historical truth, and we value it. Failing to do so would be a disservice to the work of countless professional journalists, photographers, and historians.

If you have a specific complaint about moderation here, let us know and we can perhaps explain.

If you still don’t like it, then make your own history stream or find another stream that might have a different moderation outlook.

My problem is with the mods who shut down conversation they disagree with that is literally under debate in the Historical community. I've written countless essays on the use of atomic bombs in Japan, and it is incredibly nuanced, deep, and there is no real answer. But when I voice my personal opinion on the matter (On which I've done hours of research), I've been shut down by mods who disagree with me. They have a right to disagree with me, but they shouldn't be deleting my arguments. I'm a German who has been to Dresden, has lived in Germany for a year, has German relatives from most sides of the family and speaks fluent German, and knows people who were in the Allied bombings of Germany. But when I say the bombings were justified, that's atrocity denial. I came here for historical debate, and it saddens me to see that said debate is severely limited
