Spain just happens to have in it a autonomus community that was sailing along the american cost long before the age of exploration. And they where famous for the finest fishing and exploration ships in the iberian penintsula.
yeah no, don't argue with a history major, they Spanish didn't cross the Atlantic long before Columbus....and the finest fishing and exploration ships were made first by the Portuguese spurred by Prince Henry the Navigator in the early 1400s......
