My Southern Baptist upbringing.

In the Bible I read, I don't remember seeing "life begins at conception" anywhere. I do remember humanity beginning with God giving Adam breath. "Breath" is equated with "life" throughout the book. Fetuses don't breathe; they obtain oxygen through the umbilical cord. By Biblical standard there is no human baby until it starts breathing on it's own.
