You know what happens when you falsely accuse someone of stealing from you? Pretty much nothing. They ask you for evidence and if you don't have any, everyone just sort of moves on.

Trials are not run with the mentality that one person is going to jail one way or the other, either the defendant if he's found guilty or the accuser if he's not.

So any man who wants to make a men's issue out of getting exceptions to that for women accusing them of misconduct is being super suspicious right out of the gate.

Men who are accused of sexual crimes will usually have their lives ruined, whether those accusations are true or not. So yes, there should be exceptions. How about this: women who falsely accuse men of sexual crimes should be put on the sex offender registry. Their defamation should be made publicly known.

Trials are not run with the mentality that one person is going on the sex offenders register one way or the other, either the defendant if he's found guilty or the accuser if he's not. We do not do that. That is not American jurisprudence.

Making the sex offenders register absolutely meaningless like that is the most dangerous thing anyone has said on this site. It is super shady.

You want women who try to ruin men's lives to face no consequences for their defamation. THAT is super shady. Women who slander men with such heinous allegations should be made publicly known. Some internet pillory should be made for them.

Defamation is when you have something spread through the public that attacks your character.

Pressing charges for a crime is something completely and totally different. Our legal system depends - HINGES, even - on giving people the space to make their accusations and to present their evidence. Even if there turns out to be nothing to it. Even if the charges don't turn into a conviction. We let people present their charges and make the case that they did something wrong.

That is not defamation. That is how courts work. That is law.

What you are asking for is would cause us to charge with perjury EVERY accuser of EVERY crime where the conviction was not secure. The answer is no. That is not how trials work. Not in America. I can recommend a list of countries that do operate the way you're suggesting if you'd rather be there, but I'll tell you right now - it's not a list of countries particularly known for their sense of justice.
