The "mainstream" media?

Even if they did, it's what they're supposed to do.

Financial publications keep touting record profits. And next time you hear a friend complain about the inflated price of gas, please feel free to assure them that they are contributing to the company's record profits because that is what they are supposed to do. CEO Daddy needs a new yacht!

Profits, even "record" ones, aren't evil. What about the thousands of people they employ, or shareholders, or people who hold 401(k)s? They might like to see "record" profits. As for CEOs, the boards of directors pay them this with the expectation that they will make even more money.

No one said profits are evil. That idea is a red herring to detract from the idea that if they charged a little less they would still see profits and we wouldn't be seeing this level of inflation.

The middle class has always paid for everyone else...

As always, liberals know nothing about macro or micro economics, and simply ignore the basic laws of supply and demand which are now weighing on the market. Likewise, I don’t think you have a clue what “normal profits” even means. I’d encourage you to put down the bong and pick up a book.
