I cant find the response when you claimed to have "forgot more about taxes, then" I will ever know....
So, please explain the difference betweeen ad valorem, and non-ad valorem, and how the two are different when applied to the properties of Disney, as opposed to the homestead, of an Orange county citizen? By the way, that citizen doesn't live close to.Disney, and is employed by BOEING, L3HARRIS, or RAYTHEON.
Please tell us, is the EMPLOYEE of RAYTHEON supppsed to pay for DISNEY ROADS, in their home taxes, or should Disney be paying them to their own district? The later is more fiscally responsible to the local economy, not relying on CITIZENS to pay, but the VISITORS DO! So, please explain how Dosney will pay more, please. Please dont just claim TAXES, but explain the MECHANISMS that allow for MORE TAXES TO DISNEY. Dont forget, value isnt the same as rate. Rate is across the board... value is not.
So, now that Disney is in Orange county, They get to pay ORANGE county taxes, sans Reedy Creek. Its a tax savings!
Now, explain how Orange county is to pay the $2BILLION Bond, that the STATE OF FLORIDA PLEDGED TO BACK in 1968? I wonder if the State will be on the hook?
I am open to your explanations of HOW IT REALLY WORKS, NOW, IN THE REAL WORLD!
