Context: on the holiest day of the year for the Jewish religion the temple (church) had become a marketplace. Do you think a normal religious leader would sit idly by while people are selling animals, and food and other wares in a church like it's the local walmart? There's just anger and ways of expressing that anger. He was justified in telling them what they were doing wrong and correcting the disrespect they were showing in a house meant to honor God.
Well, I always tend to remember that this account was written by man so.......and really, if the account was taken in a proper context, with this wrongdoing, some fire and brimstone should have been raining down
Hebrews 10:30, Galatians 5:19-21, Romans 14:10-13, Romans 12:17-21, James 1:19-20...some of those are "Venegence is mine, saith the Lord" verses.....but the action in the temple really contradicts James 1:19-20
