Science has replaced it's thoeries about the beginnings of life countless times, while religion has remained absolute.
The only thing that makes religion shit, and unappealing to people with a brain, like you, is that old people practically run religion. They have crazy old interpretations and they're hella conservative and can't stand change.

Religion is a far more complete code of life than what modern philosophy or science can be. The only problem is, we get to hear the priests and the rabbis and imams tell crazy ass stories instead of working for the world like actual religion requires. It's a good car with a bad driver.
