The fact that I don't recognize the first two is concerning to me. I've only missed one Generation, what happened?

gen 8 introduced dynamax and gigantamax (also eternamax but it does not count) which replaced megas. They grow huge, and giga-max have different forms.

They added three mega-evolution-esque functions in one generation? Sheesh.

eh, In some cases its better in other times it is worse. It also has pokemon cards with V and VMAX
also eternamax is only for one fight and its a bossfight so you cant use it when you get eturnatus
Every pokemon gets dynamax except for L/M and eturnatus.

Gigantamax are found in max raids occasionally and there is also alphas in PLA and its like mega but its mega when it was born
Sword and shield was a good game but bad plotline
PLA is hard and im almost at the end
Lets go was ....... "fun" and thats gen 7.5 to 8
