u can find tons upon tons of sources saying that sex and gender are two different things; sex being the state u were born as, which is classified as male or female, and gender being defined by things such as culture and physical and behavioral manifestations of one's gender identity.
plus, with the shit that the governor's trying to do in Texas to deny transition help to transgender youth and call trans kids' parents "abusers," many health professionals agree that it definitely takes a toll on a trans person's mental health. there's statistics that say that trans ppl who are allowed to express themselves and are offered assistance in transitioning experience much better mental health than those who don't have those kinds of opportunities.

Listen, I don't give a heck about you or any other one of your pride flag LGBTQ friends, that means nothing to what's coming. The world ain't unicorns and rainbows. It's a harsh, cruel world. If you think that what we're currently dealing with is bad, well, let's just say that you ain't ready for the next few years.
