Those minimum wage workers were the ones, at the grocery store, the walmart, ect. They were classified as Essential workers. So essential workers are worth min wage? They all said BS! Stock your own shelves, pour you own coffee big shots~!
Basically, it restricts what can be built and where. In most US cities single-family homes take up most of the land area and make land where apartments can be built artificially high, thus raising rents.
If you want to read more about it I recommend the Strong Towns foundation. (if you're into videos lookup Not Just Bikes on youtube and he has a whole series on it.)

YOU WANNA MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN LIKE IN THE 60S? PART OF THAT WAS MAKING SURE THE AVERAGE AMERICAN COULD AFFORD RENT AT 1/3 THEIR TAKE-HOME PAY. READY TO MAKE MINIMUM WAGE $19/HR?
