Except that they didn't. It was never in the Constitution or Bill of Rights.
It was not meant to prohibit expressions of religious faith in public settings as deconstructionists claim today.
The phrase "separation" was written 13 years after the 1st amendment. Liberals have Americans believing false history.
The original intent of the Founding Fathers was to protect religion FROM the state.
The U.S. Congress printed the very first Bible in the United States.
The left continues to misrepresent the Establismnent Clause.

I also have a little proof that I use to show folks that the founders were not deists, but predominantly Christian. Do you want to know how? I'll demonstrate it. The original explorers to the new world were fleeing persecution, not for being deists, but for being eveangelical christians. No one persecutes deists. There you go.
