Here's my opinion on the site change. The site had to intervene in the ownership struggles of a large by # of followers stream several times. These prior interventions by the site kept leading to the same result over and over, which was more interventions. These interventions were not how I would have handled the problem, but my contemplated approach would probably not have been popular either.

One of Imgflip's goals is to automate the site as much as possible. So much automation that someday I may be no longer a Community Moderator. I would be okay with that.

Since the site change, the ownership struggles of said stream have stopped, we are watching though 👀. It seems to me like the 5 owner limit simplifies and has solved a problem, is working as intended.

If your interested, this seems like the question could be a good feedback item for the site admins.
