Nah, they still look stupid simply by virtue of having gone on television and announced to the world "hey, look where you can find supplies." Not that there's anything wrong with prepping for bad times; everyone should keep a minimum 3 months' provisions in stock and be at least moderately well-armed for defensive purposes... but damn... talk about poor tactical decision-making.
