The Original Trilogy is the best no doubt, but the prequels really add a lot to Darth Vader and Anakin, explaining why the empire exists, and how the Jedi became extinct. In the sequel trilogy, we get none of that. The empire just comes back.

My personal favorite is Revenge of the Sith.
