Avalanche pushed the button, immediately after a horrible noise filled the bridge.
“ANOMALY DETECTED, SURRENDER IT IMMEDIATELY,” whoever or whatever was talking cried.
Sky was startled, “what?”
Avalanche looked at Stardust and responded, “there is no anomaly.”
[Thats not… she can’t be… it can’t be her] Stardust could hear from Avalanche’s thoughts.
Sky said, “it’s no use, shut down the line you know we’re dealing with machines with protocols, sorry Admiral, no offense.”
“None taken.”
“What’s the plan Sky?” Stardust looked out the window and saw at least 7 sentinel cruisers and about 100 starfighters.
“We’re gonna fight, like we always do.”
Friendly starfighters were already taking off and the admiral gave the order to fire.
The battle lasted nearly and hour before all of the sentinel ships were destroyed. There weren’t many casualties on their side, but Stardust did know Sky lost a few of his best pilots in the fighting.
Avalanche had even more grim news. “The sentinels have just declared war on us, and everyone else in the galaxy it seems.”
“At least we’re not alone,” Sky replied.
“Are we really going to fight? Why did they want me?”
“I assume to… get rid of you…”
“Their trying to kill me?!”
“Yes, Stardust, they don’t like anything out of the ordinary, especially with something like your abilities, you’re a threat to what little power they actually have left.”
“So, you are going to war, to keep me alive?!”
“Why wouldn’t I? The Sentinels are useless anyways and mostly terrorize everyone for stupid reasons now, I think it’s time they went away. Admiral, tell the ship builders their going to need to hurry up with the Horizon. We’re going to need as much firepower as we can get.”
