All they'll see take from that is "we're removing rules cuz we can" and then they'll pull up w the typical "this wouldn't happen if ____ was still an owner".

Or we just do it so people who have useful suggestions can talk about it,
and so we can make a statement about how to behave,
and so we can have something to refer to when we inevitably penalize someone for abuse,
so we don't get called tyrants.

Actually hate is a terrible way to rule something. Dont do something because you want to, dont something because you can, but rather do something because it will help the people of this stream. Like removing this rule is a great idea, I agree with you 100% on this. Just watch out, you don't want to gain so much hate that you either get overthrown or everyone just up and leaves.

And deleting the rule in particular won't get us hate, it's just the general trend.
I was explaining if we stop doing things because they `hate`, then we're not right for the job.

Rather get overthrown and do the right thing, than stay in control and do nothing. Responsibility ain't fun.
