Putin's efforts to sell his invasion of the Ukraine include claims "to denazify" the country...blaming it on Nazis. ehhem...like when Ukraine was originally taken over by the Soviet Union...just different name-calling. Authoritarians and their "useful idiots" do this to galvanize support for their regime by deflecting all the problems onto a subgroup of those who oppose their ideas, then legitimizing any and all hostile actions taken against them to the "useful idiot" portion of the population. Ukraine doesn't have a Nazi problem any more than Germany does today. They have a problem with an authoritarian state using a miniscule portion of the population as an excuse for the subjection of the many.
