well, true. but Australia was one of the most successful countries in terms of victories.

but yes, Australia didn't become a massive superpower like the U.S but our Defense force did earn the respect and admiration of militaries world wide. even Rommel, a German commander, said "If I had to take hell, I would use the Australians to take it and the New Zealanders to hold it.".
but even we earned respect and admiration from countries worldwide, we didn't have the finance to support Australia after the war like America did. so, yes, we didn't immediately become a superpower.
