Cade: sorry I sometimes ask dumb questions. *grabs a first aid kit

Shadow: oh shit what happened?!

Kuro’s eyes widened “Oh my god!” He yelped and quickly ran over to him “Oh god..” he muttered “W-what happened?!” He asked, unwrapping his red scarf

"It's okay, I just didn't expect that.."

"Yeah, I got excited when I saw how close we were.." he shrugged and kept his eyes on the door, walking quickly

"Makes sense."

He chuckled “Come on, we’re here!” He opened the door and looked around “Hello?!” He shouted

"..."

He raised a brow ¨Is anyone even here...?¨ he muttered and sighed ¨Hello?! Is anyone here?! I got a stabbed man?!¨ he frowned

You hear a thud behind you

He looked back “What the hell-?!” He yelped

The man fainted

"Oh god!" he panicked and looked around. No one was around. He frowned, looking back at the man. He reached down and scooped him up bridal-style and ran to a hospital room. He laid him down on a table and hesitated "What the hell am I supposed to do.." he muttered and looked around for anything

"Nah.."

He shrugged "If I messed up on wrapping a wound with a bandage wrap, yeah I'd consider myself an actual idiot." he smiled as he wrapped the wound once more

"You're not an idiot."

He laughed and smiled again "Thank you." he said as he finished wrapping the wound

"Heheh."

He chuckled "Alright, does it hurt at all?" he asked and stepped back a bit, holding the bandage wraps

"A bit."

"Is the bandage too tight?" he asked, frowning slightly

"No..."

He nodded "The wound, eh?" he asked and sat next to him

"Nice name."

“Thank you, yours is as well.” He said happily and smiled

"Thanks..."

"You're welcome!" he said cheerfully and stood up. He walked towards the door and poked his head out, looking around for the doctor

"He's coming, right?"

"Supposedly..I told him what room we were in." he muttered and frowned as he looked out

"Huh..."

He sighed and sat back down on the edge of the table "Oh well...nothing hurts?" he asked as he looked at the wound

"It stopped, for now."

He nodded "That was not something you see everyday.." he muttered and frowned slightly

"Yeah..."

He frowns again "I'm sorry...I don't know how to treat it...I just wrapped the wound in case you started bleeding again..." he muttered and looked away

"Huh..."

He managed to smile "Anyway..do you feel good enough to walk?" he asked and tilted his head a bit

He hops up

"Yeah!"

He chuckled "Already seeming better." he smiled

"Yeah!"

"Either the unusual spots on your wound helped, or for some reason, I'm a miracle worker with bandage wraps." he laughed

"Maybe!"

The roots are growing down his arm

His eyes widened a bit again. "Oi...your arm.." he said calmly, looking a bit surprised

Cain's claws grow longer

"You got some nerve showing your face here."

He aimed it at his chest, looking furious and disgusted at him

The man throws up his hands

“…Why the hell did you stab him?!” He asked, his voice harsh

"Because he was helpless."

Cain laughs

“And that gave you a reason to stab him?!” He shouted, shaking a bit but gripping the gun tightly

"Don't mess with me kid. I got relations."

“I don’t care! I genuinely don’t!” He shouted again, sounding harsh “What the hell did you do to him when you stabbed him?!”

Cain walks up

"Lay off'a him."

He frowned and scoffed. He lowered his gun and crossed his arms, looking away annoyed

"I killed someone?!"

He slowly nodded “I mean…you stabbed him..I’m the one who pulled the trigger..” he muttered and sat next to him, looking down

"Stabbed him?! I evicerated him!!"

He blinks “English please?” He asked quietly, looking nervous

"Tore him apart."

He widened his eyes again and looked at him “That’s why you told me to close my eyes…” he muttered, his voice shaking

"I did?"

He raised a brow and nodded slowly “Yeah..and you told me to shoot him..” he muttered

"Oh.."

“Do you not remember telling me that..?” He asked quietly, looking a bit worried

"I have... He usually changed the subject."

"Then there is something in that group he doesn't want you to know." he lifted his head back up, gripping his phone

"Yeah..."

He sighed and started typing on his phone “Then we’ll figure out what’s in that group..” he muttered

"Ok."

He pulled up the group and stood next to him, looking through it "Well...this is the group.." he muttered again

"Ok.."

He tilted his head "See anything unusual...or anything you may recognize..?" he asked and glanced at him

"Uh... There's the symbol."

He pointed at a post

"Alright, at least we got that.." he said quietly as he continued to scroll down

"Was is yours?"

He nodded “Mhm! But it was the only thing I could think of to stop the bleeding.” He shrugged and looked away from the trash-can

"Oh.. Sorry.."

“Oh, no worries!” He said and looked at him, smiling “It’s just a scarf, I can replace it..!”

"I guess.."

He continued to look at him “I’m serious, it’s alright.” He said calmly and smiled again

"Heheh.."

He chuckled “What’s your name?” He asked and tilted his head a bit

"Cain."

He nodded “Nice to officially meet you. I’m Kuro.” He smiled again

He moves his arms, revealing a knife deep in his stomach

He frowned slightly "Shit.." he muttered and clutched his scarf "I can wrap the wound with my scarf...I just need the knife out..this is going to hurt, I'm sorry!" he said and yanked the knife out quickly

"AGH!!"
The man falls to his knees

“Im sorry! Im so sorry!” He said and quickly fumbled with the scarf. He wrapped it around his wound and frowned “Lucky it’s red…it’ll soak up the blood..” he muttered

The man gets up slowly

"Take it easy..." he said and stood up as well, standing next to him, ready to help him if he falls

"I'm fine.."

"Are you sure..?" he asked, still standing next to him, prepared to help him anyway

"Yeah."

He hesitated for a bit, but then stepped back "Alright...what happened...?" he asked as he kept his eyes on the scarf

"No.."

He looked down “You didn’t tell me to do it…more like ordered me to..” he said quietly and looked at him

"I... don't remember...."

“You kind of changed when we spotted him…” he muttered and pointed at the guy without looking at him

"Changed...?"

“…Ive known you for less than an hour, but I could tell…you were pretty demanding and congratulated me for murdering someone..” he muttered and looked back at his hands, frowning.

"I'm not usually like that..."

“I could tell…” he said quietly and put his hands in his pockets, shaking slightly

"Sorry."

He shrugs “It’s alright..” he looked at him and forced himself to smile

"Mmm."

“Has your brother ever left your home and not told you about it? Or made up an excuse?” He asked, still glancing at the photos

"Yeah."

He looked up at him “Really? Did you ever figure out why-?” He asked, now getting interested

"No..?"

A random voice shouts out

"Hello?"

He quickly looked towards the door. He poked his head out of the door "Hello?! Excuse me, can you help me?! I ran into a man who had gotten stabbed in the stomach! Can you help?!" he asked

"Yeah! I'm a doctor!"

He sighed with relief "Oh thank goodness! We're on the second room to the left!" he shouted. He poked his head back in and walked over to him "You better not be dead.." he muttered and slowly unwrapped the bloody-scarf

The man is breathing, but the wound looks different

"At least you're breathing...but that does not look familiar..." he muttered and raised a brow, looking at the wound

It looks green in spots, and it looks like it has roots

"What the hell..?" he muttered and continued to look at it, a little confused but also intrigued.

The wound is slowly closing

His eyes widened and he stepped back a bit. "Holy.." he cursed under his breath, very confused.

"A melting skull with three horns and crossbones."

"Huh...what a lovely symbol." he said sarcastically "I haven't seen it anywhere..." he said disappointed and frowned.

"I know, right?"

"Either he just found a unique shirt, or the symbol does stand for something, but we just haven't seen it anywhere.." he muttered and crossed his arms

"My brother has a shirt like it.."

He looked back up at him "...Does your brother just have good taste in clothes..?" he asked sarcastically and sighed "Was he ever in a group or with people with the same symbol?"

"No.. Abel never really hung around people.. 'xept me."

He nodded and thought for a while "..What about on social media?" he asked, still looking a bit stressed

"He was in a Facebook group called 'The Faces of the New Covenant.'."

He looked back down "Have you ever asked him about it or saw what it was about?" he asked, sounding a bit stressed and tired

"That felt bad..."

He chuckled slightly “Mm, it’s alright…” he said quietly, his voice still shaky

'Did I scare you...?"

He smiled a bit again “I’ll admit…you did..” he said quietly, still shaking

"Heheh..."

He rolled his eyes and chuckled “I’m not scared easily…but this did.” He muttered and hugged himself, feeling himself shake

"I'm sorry.."

He forced a smile again “It’s alright..” he said quietly, and sighed shakingly

"I didn't know what was happening."

“I could tell…you acted different..” he shrugged and smiled a bit again

"Some guy stabbed me. Said it was 'Payback'."

He nodded and looked back up at him "Did you do something the guy?" he asked, crossing his arms

"I don't know!"

He sighed and nodded "Well, alright...do you live far? I can help you home.." he said and lowered his arms

"I can walk.. He got my stomach.."

"I'm still going to help you get home.." he said quietly and smiled a bit

"Alright.."

He sighed of relief "Good, come on, lead the way." he said

"Alright."

He starts limping a bit

He frowns slightly "Do you need help..?" he asked, walking next to him

"Hopefully.."

He walks

"I can.."

"Alright..come on.." he says quietly and starts walking, looking back at him every now and then

"Sorry.."

He looked at him and smiled a bit "You don't have to apologize, it's fine." he shrugged

"It's uncontrollable.. I hate this.."

He sighed and nodded "I wanted to ask the guy who stabbed you...what the hell was supposed to happen? I mean, yeah you'd get seriously hurt, but what else? What caused that?" he pointed at his arm. He shook his head "Looks like whatever is in your head didn't wait for answers.." he muttered

"No..."

He frowned "Now we'll have to figure it out ourselves.." he said quietly and scoffed sligthly

"... Heh heh.."

He smiled a bit and continued to walk. He eventually stopped in front of a modern-ish home "Alright...here we are." he muttered and threw open the door "I have never missed home so much." he said sarcastically and playfully rolled his eyes

"SHUT UP!!!"

His voice seems to make the ground shake

He stared at him, furious. He didn't care about getting yelled at "You know damn well I'm right.." he said bitterly and quietly

"Listen kid! The Cain you knew is DEAD! I don't give a shit about who's right or wrong!"

"He is not dead, and you know it! He's in there and you're not letting him out!" he stepped closer to him and pointed at his chest, scoffing at him

He smacks his hand away

He crossed his arms "I'm right..." he muttered harshly and looked away

"Did you not hear me? I! Don't! Give! A! Shit!!"

"Yeah well I do!" he yelled at him, quickly looking back at him "You're only a piece of him! You only exist because of that!" he pointed at the roots, scoffing at him

"I- Urgh!"

"...Exactly.." he said, lowering his voice. He crossed his arms and looked away again

Cain follows

He exited the room and slowly lowered his hands. He shivered at the thought of seeing the body and walked out of the hospital “Alright! That was the weirdest hospital trip I’ve been to!” He said with a smile

"Yeah, heheh."

"Ok, you sir definitely need rest from all this crazy shit that's been happening today." he said as he pointed at him "You remember the way to your home?" he asked sarcastically and smiled

"Home?"

He nodded "Yeah, home!" he asked and his smile vanished "You have one, right..?" he asked quietly

"This is... my... home..."

He looked around “Where is your home?” He asked

"... Don't you get it? I don't have a home."

Cain sounds scary again

He looks at him and frowns slightly. He stayed quiet for a bit "...Calm down.." he said quietly and looked down

"..."

"Screw it, I'm not waiting anymore." he stood up and started going through the cabinets and drawers

"Huh?"

"I'm not waiting for the doctor.." he scoffed and kept looking around "I'll just try and find some bandage wraps.." he shrugged and smiled a bit

"That'd be good."

He nods and frowns "Where the hell is it?!" he said, frustrated. He scoffed again and looked around in the other cabinets. He pulled out some bandage wraps and his face lit up a bit "Finally!" he said and smiled

"Hehe."

He laughed a bit and walked over to him "Alright, I really can't mess this up." he rolled his eyes playfully and started wrapping the wound with the bandage wraps.

"Hopefully not..."

"I'd be an actual idiot if I did." he chuckled as he kept wrapping the wound

Cain raises his arm

"Lemmie take care of this."

He frowned and nodded slowly “Alright…” he muttered, sounding disappointed and angry

Cain walks toward him

"You might want to avert your eyes."

He sighs and looks away. He lets his hair cover his eyes and closes them, still a little annoyed

You hear a loud scream, then a stabbing sound, then a splattering sound

He winced a bit and covered his ears. He muttered quietly to himself, frowning

"Take out your gun."

He slowly lowered his hands and reached for his boot again. He pulled out his gun and held it tightly

"Put it between his eyes."

He scoffed and nodded. He walked over to him and scowled at the man. He put the gun between his eyes and looked away

"I think we should hurry. I might bleed out soon."

He nodded “Do you think you can walk faster? The hospital is not too far..” he said and frowned slightly

"Yeah.."
He picks up the pace

He nods "Alright!" he said and walked a bit faster, keeping an eye on him and at the hospital nearby

"I think we're almost there."

"Mhm, I can see it from here." he said and picked up the pace a bit

"Yeah.."

He smiled and kept walking. He saw the entrance of the hospital and grabbed his hand "We're here!" he said and started running

He clutches his stomach

"Woah!"

"Sorry! Sorry!" he slowed down and gave an apologetic smile, but continued to walk towards the entrance quickly

"I'm scared..."

“I am too..” he said and frowned slightly at him “For now…let’s keep that hidden…do you perhaps know the man who stabbed you.?” He asked quietly

"No..."

There's footsteps outside

“Someone’s coming, you better hide that arm with your sleeve.” He said and walked away from the door and stood next to him

The man walks in

"Sorry, I had to do something. Now, where were we-"

He stops suddenly

He raised a brow “It’s alright..” he muttered and tilted his head a bit when he stopped

The man laughs

"It's you!"

He frowned and whispered to him “Don’t tell me he’s the one who stabbed you..”

"... It's him..."

He frowned at the man, looking furious. He scowled at him and quickly reached for his boot. He pulled out a gun and aimed it at the man “What the hell!?” He blurt out

"Smartass..."

"Yeah and I know it." he rolled his eyes and scoffed

Cain opens his mouth then freezes

He raised a brow "What the hell now...?" he muttered and looked at him. He then snapped in front of his face a few times

He sighs

"...Forget it.'

He frowned a bit and shrugged "Whatever.." he muttered and lowered his hand "Alright, you have no home and I'm not planning on leaving you alone with whatever the hell is going on." he pointed back at the roots "You'll come with me. Now, follow me and don't do something stupid." he glared at him

Cain freezes again, then clutches his head and starts screaming in pain

"Woah woah! What the hell?! Cain?!" he immediately walked over to him and looked at him, worried "Cain?!"

"Get! Out! Of! My! Head! AGH!"

"Cain!" he yelled and frowned "He can't leave! Not unless we find a way to get rid of the roots!" he said, his voice shaky

"Nice house.."

He nodded "Mm, thank you! Now, how's your headache?" he asked and looked at him

"Better!"

He smiled "That's good to hear, If it was still bad, I would've made you rest." he rolled his eyes playfully again

"Heh heh.."

He chuckled "Alright, our goal now is to figure out what the hell is going on." he pointed back at the roots and frowned at them

"This shit is controlling me."

"Yeah I know. They're annoying and shitheads." he scoffed and crossed his arms "Before killing the guy, he said that he stabbed you because you were helpless. Besides that, have you ever met him before?" he asked and raised a brow

"No.. He had a weird symbol on his shirt though..."

"A symbol? Do you remember what it looked like?" he asked, now looking intrigued.

"Don't tell me to calm down!"

He winced a bit and backed away. He rubbed his arm and continued to look down nervously

"..."

He took a deep breath and sighed "...Better..?" he asked quietly and looked up a bit

"Shut it!"

He winced a bit again and frowned at him "You're not Cain." he said harshly but quietly

"I am Cain!"

"No you're not." he said quickly and glared at him "You're the guy that ordered me to kill a guy. You're the guy that told me to shoot him!!" he said angrily

'Cain's' arm curls into a fist

"You know I'm right! You are not Cain!" he yelled, his voice shaking with anger

"Ugh!"

"What? Is it hurting?" he asked and looked at him, slightly worried

"No, it's weird!"

"I'll give you that..it is.." he muttered and looked back down at the roots

They managed to make claws

"It really is.."

His eyes widened “Holy crap!” He said, sounding surprised and a bit nervous

"What now?!"

“Claws!” He panicked and shaking my pointed at them

"Claws?!"

“Yes claws!!” He said, and frowned slightly, looking worried and nervous

"I'm good."

"You sure?" he asked, seeming a little nervous for him

"I'm.." He winces "Ok.."

He frowned "Yeah...no you're not." he said and gently grabbed his arm "I'll help you..take your time.." he said softly and smiled

He coughs up blood

"I think we should go the hospital."

He smiles weakly

He looks at him and smiled back at him "Best if we did.." he said quietly and started walking slowly, still holding his arm "If you ever need to stop for a bit, just tell me, ok?" he asked

"... Thank you..."

"Don't mention it." he smiled again and walked slowly

He coughs

He looked at him "Doing alright..?" he asked quietly as he continued walking

Cain stops and is now breathing heavy

"Cain.." he said quietly and frowned a bit "...He's not going to leave.." he muttered and shook his head a bit

"My head hurts..."

"I know...come on, you can rest when we get to my home..alright..?" he asked quietly

"I'm sorry about that...."

"You don't have to apologize...it's that shithead's fault.." he scoffed slightly "Come on, it's not that far from here..." he muttered and began walking, looking slightly stressed

He falls to his knees

"Urgh..."

"Shit.." he muttered and looked back at him "Do you need help walking or you can't walk at all..?" he asked and frowned sadly at him

"I can get up.."

He gets up slowly

"You can get up, sure...but can you walk?" he asked and stepped back a bit

"...Shit..."

He raised a brow “What’s up?” He asked, now looking at him curiously

"That's not good..."

“Well duh, roots are growing out of you.” He said in a sarcastic smile

"It hurts.."

His smile shifted to a frown “I know…don’t worry, there’s a doctor here…he’ll be here soon..” he said quietly and smiled softly

"Hopefully.."

He nodded “Yeah, plus I don’t think I’d be a big help, I would’ve had no idea what to do if there wasn’t a doctor..” he chuckled and rolled his eyes

"You stopped the bleeding.."

“With a red scarf..” he pointed out and smiled, glancing at the bloody-red scarf in the trash-can

His eyes open

"AH!"

"Holy shit!" he yelped and jumped back "I almost got a heart attack!" he said and took a deep breath

"H-Huh?"

"U-um..you passed out when we got here." he said and threw the bloody scarf away in a nearby trash-can "I carried you here and when I looked at your wound...it looked..unusual." he muttered

He clutches his chest

"Huh?"

"Oh my god." he facepalmed and sat at the edge of the table "Your wound looked odd. It had green spots and roots...it looked like the wound had been closing as well.." he said and frowned slightly.

"What?? How??"

"I-I don't know! I just unwrapped the scarf to take a look at the wound, and it didn't look like a normal stab wound.." he said calmly and fidgeted with his fingers

"How did it look again?"

"Green spots and roots.." he said and looked down at his hands

He looks at his arm

"Does this have control over my mind?"

He frowned slightly "It could..." his voice broke a bit and he looked away from his arm

"You ok..?"

"Yeah..! Still a bit spooked..." he shrugged again slightly and looked down, not wanting to look at the dead body or at his arm.

"Understandable..."

He nodded and raised his head a bit "...Are we going to leave the body there...?" he asked quietly

"Huh... Well... They have a janitor... Right?"

He managed a smile and chuckled “Most likely they do.” He said

"Yeah... Heheh..."

“Alright, come on, let’s get out of here before the hospital fills up.” He jumped out of the table and covered his eyes with his hands to avoid seeing the body

"You gonna pull the trigger?"

He looked at the man and scoffed at him. He looked away and put his hand on the trigger. He then shot him and wiped the blood away from his face

"Congratulations. You murdered someone."

“Not my first time.” He muttered and put his gun back in his boot

Cain grunts

He glanced at him “What’s wrong..?” He asked, using his sleeve to wipe the rest of the blood away from his face

Cain collapses

“Cain!” He shouts and goes over to him “Shit..” he kept repeating and picked him up. He laid him back on the table “What the hell happened now?!” He asked, looking back to his nervous self

"What... Happened...?"

“Uhm…we may or may not have killed someone, and you passed out after I shot him..” he muttered and frowned slightly

"I can't tell if that's cool or scary!"

“Both!” He said, still looking pretty nervous but smiling slightly at it

"Heheh!"

“But how the hell did this happen is the question.” He said and slightly touched the roots

His arm raises up and attempts to slash Kuro

"Oh god!"

He yelped and backed away towards the door “What the hell-?!” He asked, looking nervous

It returns to normal

"...Holy shit..."

“Remind me to never touch the roots..” he muttered shakingly

"Deal..."

“Ok…this got weirder…” he said and took a deep breath “This only started when you got stabbed..” he pointed out

"Huh?"

"The roots.." he pointed at his arm, looking intrigued

"Hm?"

He looks at his arm

"Woah!!"

"I don't know whether to be worried or surprised-excited!" he said, smiling at the roots

"That's creepy..."

"Then it's weird that I'm not creeped out by it.." he said and chuckled, still smiling at the roots

They grow down to his hand

"Holy..." he muttered and his eyes widened a bit again, looking at the roots

"Are they growing?!"

“Mhm..” he nodded and looked up at him
