The first rule of humor is it has to be based on truth. What you have done here is based your humor entirely on fiction, therefore, it invokes pity, not laughter. And the pity is for you.

Well you see.. Your premise starts off all wrong. Abbot and DeSantis are NOT fascists. They're not Nazi, communists or any other kind of socialist. Banning critical race theory in school is not fascistic.

CRT is the latest version of critical theory. Critical theory is an update of Marxism. Karl Marx needed to create a false dichotomy between the worker and the business owner to get people to accept his philosophy. His entire philosophy revolves around envy. Without creating envy in people everything falls apart.

Critical theory expands that envy to not just worker vs business owner but rich vs poor.

The false dichotomy in CRT is non-white vs white. White people are the oppressors and non-white people, specifically blacks, are the oppressed. Whites allegedly have everything. They are the haves and people of color are the have nots. Therefore, whites have privilege.

The whole thing is a lie and teaching it in schools is obscene. It should be banned from schools. CRT does not solve the divide between races, it widens it. White people are NOT oppressing blacks or anyone else. It is just not happening. Why? Because white people do not think with a hive mentality. We are not all identical to each other. Therefore, we do not act as a whole. To say white people are all racists is just as absurd as saying blacks are all lazy.

This is what we used to call prejudice in this country. The idea was that we must stop prejudging everyone based on external features, such as skin color. CRT, on the other hand, relies heavily on prejudging white people based entirely on their skin color.

Throwing out Marxist dogma is NOT fascistic.
1 up, 3y
"Abbot and DeSantis are NOT fascists. They're not Nazi"

Of course they're not, wrong spot on the space/time continuum. Neo-Nazi or fascistic would be more appropriate descriptions.

Why do you always make everything about so-called 'Blacks' against their traditional beleaguered oppressors?

CRT is a legal term, only taught in law schools. It’s not taught in any elementary or high schools anywhere in the country as the concept is way beyond anything a kid could grasp. It is the new boogeyman for the right to have something else to cry about.

What the Texas and Florida facists are burning and banning is anything about black history that makes them feel bad. I want my kids to learn all about our nation of immigrants, those that came here for the American dream and those brought here against their will. It’s history and those that try to erase it are doomed to repeat it.

What talking head on TV told you that they are banning and burning black history books? I did a search because I had no idea what you were talking about. All I could find was DeSantis is banning masks in schools and banning CRT. No search result said anything about black history. And it would because all of the major search engines are skewed against conservatives.

So I am not buying it. There is no political gain for either Greg Abbott or Ron DeSantis if they did something like that. In fact there probably would be a recall effort underway. AND this would be all over the news. There would be non-stop wall to wall coverage on the mainstream media about how evil they are for banning black history.

It is just not happening. Black history is safe in Florida and Texas.

I just did a quick search (which you could have done also) on schools that teach CRT.

I found this article:
https://www.thecollegefix.com/yes-crt-is-taught-in-k-12-schools-heres-how/

This article also shows me that you were splitting hairs. There are no Critical Race Theory textbooks. They aren't labeling it as CRT. But they are teaching it regardless. It just isn't being called CRT.

Misinformation is still misinformation even if it doesn't have a name attached to it.

I just did. Did you read the articles or just the headlines. Parents are demanding the schools remove those books, not the governors. That kind of stuff has been going on for decades and it isn't just conservatives. Plenty of leftists have asked for books to be removed not just from schools but from everything.

How many schools have a copy of Tom Sawyer in their libraries. It used to be a standard and was considered a classic. Now it is a book of racism that the left must remove from schools. Tom Sawyer is not the only book.

By the way, what political leanings do you think those people have who have been tearing down statues of Washington, Jefferson, Lee and even the lefts idol, Woodrow Wilson? It certainly isn't conservatives.

Regardless these movements to remove stuff are coming from the people, not the government. However, when it does come from the government it will definitely be against conservatives. That movement is already in the works. Canada, for example, has already labeled the Bible as a hate book.

No statues or monuments of our history should ever be removed. Critical Race Theory is a legal term used in law schools. The acronym was misused first by Q and Tuckit Carlson . Then trump adopted it. What they mistakenly call CRT isn’t critical race theory. They call crt anything that hurts their ears, but it’s not critical race theory. It’s a term used by the right as a boogeyman but that’s not what is being taught in any schools anywhere other than law schools

Are you sure Carlson said that? From what little I know of him that just doesn't sound like him. Plus, his show would be off the air in heartbeat if he really said that.

Conservative commentators and talk hosts live under the left's microscope. They monitor every thing they say. In the past the left tried selective editing of conservatives to make them say things they didn't but that backfired on them. Now they just listen and wait for even the tiniest slip up to shut them down.

Joe Rogan is not even close to being a conservative but doesn't march in complete lockstep with the left and they are crucifying him right now. If Bill Maher doesn't watch it the left will be nailing his head to the floor next.

Well, when should they have processed the mail in and absentee ballots? Obviously the in person votes would be counted first. And, because there are only so many counters, it takes time. Trump said he wanted all counting to stop at midnight on November 3rd. How un American is that?
[deleted]
0 ups, 3y
If a mail in ballot was received after the election and there was no postmark on the envelope how do you know that ballot was mailed on time? If there is no signature on the envelope then how can you verify that the person who sent it is actually the person who signed it?

If a mail in ballot is received after the pole have closed and it is signed and has a postmark on it then it should be added to the total count of votes. If it doesn't have one or the other or neither, then it should be tossed. You're just opening up our election to massive fraud every time if you don't have some way to verify if that ballot received is valid.

Even if it has the postmark and signature there is still no guarantee that it is a valid vote. On average voter fraud goes up by 20% with mail in ballots.

I've never once heard that before. Why would Trump ask for the counting to stop? That makes no sense. He had a significant lead when the counting stopped. Going by the votes at the time voting had stopped Trump would have won in a landslide. But once it resumed Trump's lead was reversed and by the exact same number. If Trump had 500,000 votes to Biden's 300,000 then when the count resume magically Biden had 500,000 and Trump had 300,000. How did Trump lose votes? How is that possible when votes are additive?

If they weren't so sloppy then after the counting resumed Trump should have retained his 500,000 vote and then magically Biden's votes would be 510,000. Never should a candidate lose votes during a vote count. It is impossible.

Eh, I don’t want to argue with you about 2020 election but , the law states that mail in votes and military out of country votes need to be counted. He created a situation with the virus that made mail in votes necessary. Then he cried because the in person votes were counted first and he was ahead. Then the rest of the votes were counted and he lost. And now we are learning about all the things he was trying to do to stay in power. Against everything that our constitution and laws say.
[deleted]
0 ups, 3y
Now that is just flat out wrong. First off, Constitutionally speaking, the only ones who can pass election laws are the state legislature. Trump could not do a single thing. I do know that Obama opened the Executive Order rule so that the president can now legislate and Trump (instead of closing that door) used Executive Orders just like Obama. So is Biden. Unfortunately that will never go away, now that the executive branch has stomped all over the Constitution. They have given themselves dictatorial power.

But to my knowledge no one ever did anything to prevent absentee voting. Where the problem was was in mail in voting. The difference is U.S. citizens living in America were given ballots that could be mailed in. That is not absentee voting. Absentee voting is for those who know in advance they will be out of the country on the day of the election.

Absentee voting was not stopped, hindered or modified.

The problem was in states like Pennsylvania where mail in ballots, not absentee ballots, were being processed AFTER the polls had closed and either WITHOUT a signature on the envelope and/or WITHOUT a postmark prior to or on election day on the envelope. That is a problem. Nearly every other state (and all states prior to the 2020 election) have always required a signature and a postmark on the day of or prior to the election. If the ballot did not have one or the other or both they were rejected. 2020 was different. Thousands of illegitimate ballots were counted.

The Democrats are trying to make that change to all states so that this level of possible vote tampering is the norm, and just like everything else, if you oppose that then you are called a racist.

This would mean that however many ballots the Democrat need to win an election could be produced and sent in to polling places after the polls were closed. Just like what happened in 2020.

Q is like antifa, just an idea. No organized leadership. Yet Q flags were all over January 6th. Hell, Mike Flynn made a video of him and his family taking the Q oath. “Where we go one , we go all.”
[deleted]
0 ups, 3y
Q is a boogeyman invented by the left. Yes they exist but the only ones who pay any attention them are the left. The right doesn't pay any attention to them at all. The left needs a target to focus on and try to use them to put all of their fears into them and then use them to beat up on the rest of us.

I don't care if every single Trump supporter was holding a Q flag or wearing a Q t-shirt. They are just a group of people who like Trump. Good for them, that is their right. If a segment of Trump supporters want to form some type of a group that really doesn't seem to have any purpose other than to show up at Trump rallies with a flag then that is their right.

What is underhanded, but not illegal, is if Q was started by Democrats specifically for the purpose of creating a subgroup within Trump supporters that they could use as the big bad boogeyman. That is a possibility but I can't say for sure because I never looked into them.

If Q are conservatives then that is a world of difference between Q and Antifa. Antifa is an organization that started back in the early 20th century. They were communists who hated Nazis and Fascists. The group died out. It was resurrected more recently in America by a bunch of people who seem to actually believe their are fascists in the United States of America. In other words, idiots. There are fascists, Biden is one of them but Antifa is pointing their finger at me and people like me. Idiots. Clearly they have absolutely no clue what a fascist is. But they have the same motivation as the early Antifa. They want to tear down their opposition and push communism on everyone.

Antifa claims there is no organization but many have nicely printed signs. During the 2020 riots pallets of rocks were delivered at various cities across the nation where Antifa was planning on rioting.

Somewhere hiding in the shadows is an actual organization who is directing and organizing them. And they are anti-American.

Trump has a huge number of supporters. Don't rule him out. After all he did win the 2020 elections by a landslide and lost only after the counting of ballots stopped being counted so that they could regroup to switch votes and fabricate more votes. They even uploaded a new algorithm to the voting machines so they would get enough Biden votes to overcome Trump's landslide.

[deleted]
0 ups, 3y
I do to. What I don't want is illegal immigrants being bused from poling precinct to polling precinct voting for Democrats. And yes, that happened. Probably in more places but at least in Nevada. This was in the 2016 election.

I don't want dead people, pets and cartoon characters voting, which Democrats have been accused of ever since I can remember.

I don't want voting machines that are connected to the internet and are designed to work with algorithms that produce a desired results rather the the will of the people. Machines that allow polling people to go in and edit votes without recording the person and date of the one making the change. Regardless I don't want the option to edit votes at all.

I don't necessarily like the idea of voter ID's but if it stops fraud then everyone should all be for it. There is no way on earth that it can be called racist but that is what Democrats have done.

I don't want legislation that allows ballots to be counted after the voting has closed.

It doesn't matter if you believe it happened or not, precautions should be taken to lock all of that down. There should be as little fraud as possible in our elections.

Democrats talk about Republicans threatening our democracy, that is hypocritical seeing that fraud is a direct threat to our democracy. What is not a threat is locking down ways to cheat.

I am not saying Republicans are perfect. I don't have any proof but it would not surprise me at all if they didn't play the voter fraud game as well. Otherwise they would have called out the Democrats decades ago. The problem is Democrats are better at voter fraud.

Perhaps but Trumps team kept trying to argue side issues and not the 500lb gorilla in the room. Then in one court case, for whatever reason, the defense brought in this blonde airhead to do something. I am not quite sure what her role was.

Most of the court cases were put on indefinite hold. I forgot the legal term for that but the cases never went to trial.

If Kyle had lost his case then a great injustice would have happened. If you watch the videos, the full unedited videos there is no way on earth you could say he was guilty of anything. He acted entirely in self-defense. Considering that those 3 guys all had Kyle at a major disadvantage he was beyond lucky that he fired first.

Here's the thing. If Kyle had been shot and wounded or killed we never would have heard of him. It wouldn't even be reported in the news.

The other thing is everyone is focusing on why Kyle had a gun. No one questioned why those Antifa wannabes had guns. Shouldn't that have been asked? And why were so many shots fired that night by, not just the two that had guns (the other guy was beating Kyle with the edge of his skateboard), but nearly everyone. Gunshots were heard all over the place in that video. Did anyone else get killed that night? I don't suppose we'll ever know. Antifa and their clones have diplomatic immunity from prosecution.

If there was problem with any voting machines, trumps lawyers would have proven it. 80+ court cases, many in front of gop and even trump appointed judges showed us that there just wasn’t any fraud. Some of that is even Q talk man. Whether you know it or not, it’s repeating debunked conspiracy theories. And that’s the problem, Q and Alex Jones types have infiltrated right wing media and social media with so much nonsense that Republican voters are in a fog about the truth anymore. It’s not the voters fault, it’s the information they are being given is false especially when it comes to the election.

Trumps lawyers seemed to work against him. Besides the majority of evidence didn't surface until a few months after the trials.

Alex Jones types have always been a part of the Republican, Libertarian and, to a much lesser degree, the Democrat parties. I don't know if you would call infiltrating when those people were already there.

However, it does not mean anything because they have no power, they are a tiny minority. Q are all Trump supporters but not all Trump supporters are Q.

Q is a cult. A trump supporting, conspiracy theory spreading cult. It’s like the toilet of the right, the lowest common denominator among the right. I’m not sure anyone know exactly when it started but what it is now is a cult. Be careful looking too deeply into it because you will start going rabbit holes that may be tough to get out of. Every person I’ve read about that have gotten out of it have said it started innocent enough by clicking pro trump links and eventually ended up losing their jobs, friends and family be a of the crazy crap they started saying. JFK is coming back to reinstate trump. Hugo Chavez rigged the election. Democrats and Hollywood stars eat babies in the basement of a pizza parlor in DC( a man actually showed up there armed to liberate the babies, there was no basement lol) those are just a tiny, tiny fragment of the crap they feed their cult. And unfortunately, most of the lies trump tells are regurgitated on Q sites as truth.
[deleted]
0 ups, 3y
I haven't looked at all into Q, so when you say be careful, I suppose I already am careful. 🙂

I've heard that stuff about Pizzagate and Hollywood eating babies. I thought that was Alex Jones who pushed that stuff. Perhaps Q are also Alex Jones followers.

JFK coming back is a new one. I haven't heard that one. That's insane. We all know that JFK is coming back to open a pizza parlor that sells baby flavored pizza. 🤣😂

The thing about Hugo Chavez is about the Dominion voting machines. That one is true. Those machines (and others like them) were built specifically for voter fraud. That's why I've seen news stories from back in the 2012 election (when they were first used in the US) of Republican voters complaining about the machines changing their votes right in front of their eyes. Everyone just dismissed it as a glitch in the machine. But then it happened again in 2016 and again in 2020. I didn't hear anything about the midterm elections between the general elections or the primaries but I'm pretty sure that Bernie Sanders won either the 2016, 2020 or both primaries. He is infinitely more popular on the left than either Hillary or Biden, especially Biden. Biden is a twit and even the Democrats knew that. Biden is turning out to be our worst president. He has yet to lock up innocent Americans in internment camps like FDR. But who knows. He totally screwed up in Afghanistan. Not even FDR or Woodrow Wilson would have done that and they are the absolute worst 2 presidents we've ever had.

My belief that there was voter fraud had nothing to do with Trump or anything he said. Like I said, I knew this was going to happen in 2016. I have never ever seen Democrats so angry and hateful towards any Republican in my lifetime. The only possible exception is the way the terrorized Sarah Palin. All she did was dare to be the first female vice president without it being a Democrat. That just could not stand with Democrats. Well come to think of it they did the same thing to Clarence Thomas when he was nominated for Supreme Court justice and Biden was one the key figure in trying to tear him to shreds.

Anyway, the level of hatred the Democrats exhibited towards Trump after the election and all through his presidency was insane. I knew they would not tolerate letting him win re-election and not only was I right but they were very sloppy in trying to hide the fraud. I mean seriously, stopping the count while the reassess how to cheat? And in a few precincts when voting resumed Trump had Biden's numbers and Biden had Trump's number. They just switched the votes. In other precincts the numbers went up and then down for both candidates. One of them, for awhile, reported Trump with about -900 votes. That is impossible to happen unless the votes were tampered with. Votes are additive and never subtractive.

What Trump did to Pence was just flat out wrong. Trump had no right to demand Pence overstep his authority. No one but Congress could have done what Trump was asking Pence to do. But then Trump really wasn't much of a Constitutionalist.

I know of people destroying their own Beatles albums because John Lennon said he was more popular than Jesus was in their own times. I think people were also destroying their own albums in the early 80's because of back masking.

Usually this type of behavior comes from fundamentalist Christians. And it is a minority of them. They just draw the attention of the media. And like I said, they only destroy their own albums, not other people's albums. I really don't care what people do with their own property unless they are causing harm to others. Just don't go to bookstores and destroy books that do not belong to you.

I also do not care of the majority of parents protest the placement of objectionable material in public school libraries. Parents have a right to raise their children the best they see fit. If it bothers a parent who wants those kinds of books for their children then they can buy them themselves. The taxpayer is burdened enough.

Outside of that I don't know of any times Americans burned or banned books en masse.

I've seen conservative non-fiction authors get shunned by the corporate left all the time. They don't get the attention that leftist authors get. Even when their books are No. 1 on the New York Times bestseller list.

I've seen conservative speakers get disinvited from speaking on college campuses. And others being prevented from speaking because a mob of leftist came in and shouted them down.

As far as I know there has been nothing close happening to leftist non-fiction writers or leftist speakers. Those guy normally get praised by the left for being "brave".

And as we are learning every day, he was willing to use the justice department, the military, and homeland security to try to overturn the election. And when all those failed, he was willing to encourage traitors to try to disrupt the certification of the election in congress by a violent attack on our Capitol. He couldn’t accept that he lost, that’s what it all comes down to. No fraud except the fraud he himself was perpetrating.

You might want to re examine footage of January 6th. Q flags everywhere lol

Were the rioters all members of Q? If they were then QAnon as an organization should be examined by the FBI. If it was just a bunch of Q flags at the protest and none of them or maybe just a few of them rioted then what's the big deal?

I see communist flags at Antifa riots and Antifa brings weapons to their riots. No one bats an eye. Communism is far more dangerous than whatever Q stands for.

ME TOO!!!!!!!! I had to shout that because that is how much I agree with you. I look for the most freedom oriented candidate. One that wants to restore the Constitutional limits that were set in place back in 1797. If they want more government then I run from them.

There are three types of people in the world. Those who want to rule, those who want to be ruled and those who just want to be left alone. I am the 3rd kind. I do not need the government for much of anything. Schools, police, fire and the military. The first three are local so I don't need the federal government for those.

All I want the federal government to do is "...establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity" Nothing more and nothing less.

Or as Mel Gibson said in Braveheart, "FREEEEEEEDDDDDDDOOOOOMMMMMM!!!!!"

These terms were never used by a politician before trump. He heard them from conspiracy theorists and far right media. It started when the 2020 census results were made public. Tucker actually suggested that white peoples votes should count for 2 because their votes were being “watered down “ by minorities.

I don't care about Trump. Leave him out of the discussion because this issue predates Trump and I'm not much of a fan of Trump. It has nothing to do with QAnon (speaking of boogymen). QAnon has no influence on anyone. They're just a target for the left to focus on. I don't know any QAnon members, I've never seen any, in person. I don't even know who they are. For all I know they could be paid actors hired by the Democrat party just to give the left a target.

Why burn or ban Any books?
[deleted]
0 ups, 3y
I can understand if the majority of parents in a school don't want certain material available in the school library. Parents can't be at school with their children to steer them away from that material.

You might not find the material objectionable for your children but it not yours or anyone else's right to circumvent the right of the parent.

Children belong to the parents, not the state.

Burning books is another issue and if that is happening it is most likely the left doing it. They are the authorizations. But I doubt that is happening or ever will happen.

The left is on a crusade to squelch every conservative voice there is and many of them are reprehensible. You probably aren't even seeing because it doesn't affect your life but YouTube, Facebook and Twitter are the worst offenders.

Remember, mail in and absentee and out of country military are allowed like up to 5 days to be counted. That doesn’t make them fraudulent. And due to Covid, and trumps inability to handle it, mail in and absentee was necessary. So he wanted legitimate votes to NOT be counted as his voters were majority in person and were counted first.

Mail in ballots and absentee ballots are different in that you have to request an absentee ballot. Mail in ballots were just mailed out to everyone.

I am not suggesting anything change about absentee ballots because those are coming from all over the world. Mail in ballots are new and the ruling was they they have to be postmarked no later than the day of the election. Anything after that did not get counted.

I think mail in ballots should be banned. Not absentee ballots, just the mail in. If you cannot make it to a polling place then too bad. I live in a state that has been doing mail in ballots long before the pandemic. We usually drop them off at city hall on election day.

And there’s even more than those . Then google the authors of these books and the content of the books. Literally black history and many of which don’t even discuss slavery

Well that's the parents decision, not mine. If they don't want to teach their kids about slavery there's nothing you and I can do about it. It's wrong but this is (or was) a free country. The moment you try to force something is the moment we are no longer free. Even if that means one person in the country believes a lie. He/she is still at liberty to believe that lie.

I very heavily suspect that what you are being told in those news articles bares little resemblance to what is actually happening. The mainstream media and any news outlet that is politically to the left of the mainstream (if that is even possible these days) is completely and utterly unreliable. Their only purpose for existence is to promote a left wing agenda. Truth is irrelevant. I have seen flat out lies coming out of the news.

Right wing news, specifically Fox News, isn't much better.

CRT means critical race theory. And that’s not being taught anywhere except in law schools. The far right first misused the acronym and now it’s the new scary thing that white folks should be upset about. And now , Texas and Florida are banning anything about black history because of it. In reality, they just want to ban anything that paints white folks in a negative way. They are trolling the trump base to try to get his supporters to follow them as well. It’s that simple man. When a MAGA parent cries that their child “feels bad” when being taught about slavery, they ban the books. Pandering to the lowest common denominator of our country.

I never felt bad when being taught about slavery and my ancestors on my mom's side were slave owners. So if a white child now comes home crying what changed from when I was in school? Why would a child who had absolutely no involvement in slavery be made to feel bad?

The difference is what is being taught now is collective guilt. All white people are now racist because some white people owned slaves over 160 years ago. There is no name for that kind of propaganda and so CRT just came in handy.

There is absolutely no excuse for perpetuating the myth that blacks are still just as oppressed as their ancestors. It has destroyed the black family unit. It causes some blacks to hate all white people.

We are not a collective. Each one of us are unique individuals regardless of skin color. We must be treated as individuals and not collections.

Real racism is when a political party keeps lying to any races to foment hatred of the opposing political party, especially when racism is virtually dead in this country. If a black person loses his/her job it is most likely because they were underperforming and not because of their skin color. White people understand this because white people get fired or laid off all the time. And it's not because of skin color. We don't automatically jump to the conclusion that it's based on race.

Employers don't hire black people and all of the sudden become racists. If an employer was a racist they never would have hired the black person to begin with.

The sooner people stop thinking they are a group who must act and think a certain way the sooner those who have been brainwashed to think they are oppressed can be free. And that is the biggest fear of the Democrat party.

The Republican Party right now, has to think a certain way. If they don’t believe trumps lies they are branded a RINO.

You'll notice that all he says is the opposite of truth.
Even when he starts on something that is true, it is merely to veer it into an untruth.
[deleted]

You clearly have no idea what a RINO is. It's now an obsolete expression, even though it is still used.

The reason why I left the Republican party is because for the most part the RINO's took over.

A RINO is a Republican who votes with the Democrats on most issues. It has nothing to do with Trump. The expression predates Trump by about 20 years or more. Slowly the RINO's have been infiltrating the Republican party to the point where there are only a handful of conservatives left. Because there are so many leftist in the Republican party the acronym no longer applies because the left now controls the majority of the Republican party. The acronym was applied to a Republican who was not a conservative because Republican meant conservative. That no longer applies.

I left the Republican party around 10 year ago because of this change in who the party has become.

I did NOT vote for Trump in 2016 because I thought he was just another leftist posing as a Republican. After all most of his life he was a Democrat. When he announced his candidacy he talked exactly like a Democrat trying to sound like a Republican based on the Democrat stereotype the Dems have of Republicans. Then he advocated for single payer government run healthcare. That is when I knew he wasn't a conservative, he was a fraud. However, after he was elected he somewhat surprised me. He was more conservative that I could have believed. He was still far away from the type of person I would like have running the country.

Oh, by the way, me telling you this actually proves what you said was wrong. I am not a RINO and never has been. I'm not even a Republican to be branded as such.

The only ones who have ever labeled me anything are leftists. I've been called a Nazi, a racist, a hater, a fascist and other names all here on ImgFlip. I am none of the above. I am a Constitutionalist, I believe in individual freedom for everyone.

Real racism is when a president tells his supporters that people that look different from them are hurting them and their country. Real racism is when a president calls immigrants homes shitholes. Real racism is when a president says an invasion of rapists are crossing the border. Real racism is when a president has to be told several times that Puerto Rico is part of the country. Real racism is when a president throws rolls of paper towels as a form of disaster relief to Americans that he thinks are Mexicans.
[deleted]
0 ups, 3y
Calling a 3rd world country a "shithole" is not racism. Not by any stretch of the imagination. That has to do with socialism and corruption. Socialism and corruption go hand in hand. They are the cause of every 3rd world country.

Remove both and any country with any racial make will improve.

Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union all fit that description and they are predominantly white.

Having to be reminded that Puerto Rico is part of the US is forgetfulness, not racism.

Trump did make reference to Hispanic illegal immigrants being rapists and he was wrong for the most part. Many Latin American countries have emptied their prison cells and sent their criminals to American so that they were no longer their problem. This is not all of the illegal immigrants or even a majority but criminals are crossing our border.

Most people came to this country seeking the American dream. And our black brothers and sisters ancestors were brought here against their will. That is our history. Nobody is teaching anyone to think any certain way. It’s just our collective history

Then why would a white child be made to feel bad about themselves? No one alive today has any connection to slavery. Why make a white kid feel guilty for something they didn't do?

We cannot change our history (although many on the left have been trying and have been successful at it). All we need from history is the insight to learn from other people's mistakes so we don't repeat them.

Trump was right about the election. I was 99% sure he was going to lose in 2020 back in 2016. He wasn't supposed to have won in 2016, that election was set up for Hillery to win but they didn't take into account the Electoral College. The Dems reaction back then completely validated my belief Trump would lose to massive voter fraud and I was right.

Biden is going to run for re-election but will lose because the Dems have embarrassed themselves with him. The next president will be a Democrat but it won't be Biden. This is my guess. We'll see if I called it in 2 years.

Oh so now they are also holocaust deniers. I'll bet they think 9/11 was an inside job and man has never set foot on the moon. Oh yeah and the earth is flat. Oh yeah and the Masons are trying to rule the world. Gotta watch out for those lizard people, they're everywhere, man. And the Jews run everything except when the Rothschilds and Rockefellers aren't.

Who is telling you this stuff? Is there some left-wing version of Alex Jones out there? I know Rachel Maddow is pretty screwed up but I don't think she is that whacked out. Is it Don Lemon? Did he finally crack up?

CRT is being taught in public schools. Not all of them because a lot of states have rejected it. Just like they rejected common core. But there are schools who are required to teach it and the 1619 propaganda as well.

CRT Is a term used in law schools. It’s just a new boogeyman for the right to rally around and allow themselves to act on their racist beliefs by claiming something is being taught that isn’t . And yeah they’re also banning books about the holocaust. It’s not a secret, or being hidden from the public. They are proudly doing these things.

I explained with CRT is and you call it a boogeyman. I don't suppose you mean CRT as an acronym for something other than Critical Race Theory. In electronics it is Cathode Ray Tube (or a picture tube from back in the days before LED and LCD TVs).

If CRT is a legal term then is CT also a legal term? Is communism also a legal term? What about social justice? Is that a legal term. In the days of the early 20th century Progressives, the American Nazi Party called their newspaper "Social Justice". It comes from collectivism and Nazism is a collectivist system of government.
1 up, 3y
I’m not saying that there are things being taught that probably shouldn’t be. But crt is being misused as an excuse to ban things that make white folks uncomfortable, but it’s not critical race theory.
