So he was having a picnic with his friends, then he heard something around him tell him to hide in an urgent voice (the trees) and he told that to his friends. They decided he was just being paranoid and just kept doing whatever. One of his friends decided to listen and then they both covered themselves in a lot of stuff. Then, the demon came along and killed all his friends except for the two of them cuz their smell was covered by the stuff. A few days later, his friend commits suicide cuz of the trauma, and his friend's parents blamed Haki for the suicide. Haki's parents were very close friends with his friend's parents, so they agreed and kicked him out. Then, he went to the town lunatic, who said demons were real and he knew how to fight them (nobody else in haki's town believed in demons) and Haki decided to learn the art of wind breathing. Theeeeeeeeeen, he thought wind breathing focused too little on defense so he devised his own breathing style. The end.
