#FakeNews, the CBO score on the Infrastructure bill provides that $1+ trillion in new spending can be 100% paid for with no new taxes or inflation — all we have to do is get Canada, Mexico, and China to pay for it.

Alternatively, we could simply dismantle Social Security, Medicare, and other aspects of our welfare state and get America working again.

IRL: I only support infrastructure spending that isn't corporate welfare in disguise. Most of the US infrastructure bill is simply handouts to private companies under the guise of propping up failing wind power companies and electric vehicle manufacturers. Except the companies produce everything overseas.
So the US Gov't is literally stealing money (in the form of sky high inflation) from me so a Chinese battery factory can claim a profit on batteries that they could never sell at a profit without Gov't intervention.
The only way deficit spending like that can not actually be detrimental to the economy it's trying to fix is if 100% of the money stays local.
