The Avali homeworld of Avalon is an incredibly frigid planet with deserts made of water snow and oceans made of liquid ammonia. See, they don't actually drink water, they drink ammonia instead. That's what they use as a biological solvent and circulatory fluid. Liquid water is incredibly burning hot to them. The only reason they can go to water-solvent planets is because they have nano-integrated environmental protection in their bodies.

Also, the Avali government is a fascist oligarchy, but we don't talk about the Oracle

Avalanche’s backstory was going to be she was in battle with pirates and sacrificed herself so the rest of her pack could flee the battle since they were outnumbered. She got shot down in the process and the first person to respond to the distress beacon was Sky. Her pack didn’t come back to her for the fear they might die too, but since Avalanche wasn’t in that pack for very long, she could carry on more or less.

She appears in Stardust’s Journey across the universe.

I’m not sure if I should go with this now.

Typically Avali packs are raised from birth, so either Avalanche's entire family has died before or she just doesn't care about her packmates. That or she wasn't raised in typical Avali society. There are rebel and secessionist movements, after all.

I forget how they age, but they're typically like 2-4ft tall

It’s a story I’m working on, Stardust I appears on a another planet that is far from her home after Galactic Labs conducts a weapons test on her since she was captured. This was during their war with the Nuclear Dragons. After waking up, Stardust is now smaller, around the age of a few hours old, and she has lost all of her memories besides a few she can’t piece together. She even forgets her own name. Over time her memories come back as she fights battle after battle to find her way home.

Over the time span of a few years, she obtains abilities no other Nuclear Dragon has seen before, or at least very rare.

Hm... maybe she tries to figure out who did it to her and find out why?

That’s the reason she goes to find her parents. Actually, she doesn’t remember what happened so she actually has no idea something happened to her as of right now.

That’s what happens at the end. While the Nuclear Dragons are off fighting their war with Galactic Labs, Stardust may or may not accidentally start a Galaxy wide war against fairly easy to take out AI police force (in other words I’m gonna take the Sentinels from No Man’s Sky or something since Sky is a No Man’s Sky OC), she may or may not meet another Nuclear Dragon along the way who is hesitant to tell Stardust what exactly is because that dragon doesn’t want to drag Stardust into their war. Basically it’s Stardust’s point of view of what happened to her.

Maybe she tries to figure out what the other dragon is avoiding?

That’s one of things that’s going to happen, but the dragon she meets is trained in combat since they were training to be a soldier, they were about the same age as Stardust (before she was killed) when that dragon’s parents sent them too other worlds so they wouldn’t be killed or captured, despite their training.

What were the Avali’s home world? I forgot, yes I tried to look it up.

Well Avali typically have short non-standard names that sound a little more chirpy and alien, like Nezii, Runo, etc. But sometimes they also get nicknames from other people or make their own nickname that fits more with Terran society.

Hence, I suggested an Avali name and a Terran name
