I never said I was an intellectual. I don't fancy myself as being anything other than average. I know far too many people who are much smarter than I am.
I admit that was a poor graphic but all I use is Microsoft Paint. The message of that graphic is absolutely true. All of the variations of Socialism are authoritarian. Communism as defined by Marx is authoritarian but communism existed before Marx and it could have been authoritarian. It is usually and voluntary collective that shares all things in common. Most of them eventually fall apart but some communes have been very successful. I am pretty sure that I have told me, probably several times, before but I don't have any problems with people who want to live in a commune. Just do not force me to join the commune.
The people I don't want in this country are those who want to take my freedom away. If you are so bound and determine to live in an authoritarian regime then you can move to a country that will better suit your needs. Just do not stay here and vote a totalitarian regime into this country. That is NOT who we are. We never were.
I don't need or want a government that tries to control my life or do things for me. All I want them to do is "...establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity". And I want the government to go by the original meaning of those ideals, not some modern tweaking of those meanings. For example, "general welfare" does NOT mean steal money from those who work to give to those who do not work. Private sector solutions to helping the unemployed always more better and more efficiently than from some faceless agency hundreds or thousands of miles away.
