I don't need your thanks. I just need your pardon when I speak of Christians - I speak of the Evangelicals who are attempting to mix church and state. In memes, it's really hard to speak to "Evangelicals who are mixing church and state." instead of "Christians."
Again, meme warfare thrives on hate. There are psychology papers citing how it is popular to hate, and just like community worship and prayer, there is a bonding that occurs with others when you hate together. You find comradarie. I digress. Republicans often use the "The left can't meme" which is an extremely loaded statement on two fronts. Psychological warfare by intimidation, and psychological recruiting methods. The left cannot meme as effectively because our moral compass does not thrive so much on egoism; the self. Ours is more altruistic and community minded. As such, we check ourselves much more than the right does without even knowing it. We're too politically correct to meme. The trap is, the better we get at memeing, the more we lose our way.
The problem with this approach is that they're hoping to exploit the relativism paradox; "How does the tolerant tolerate the intolerant?" On paper, one would theorize that to be "Tolerant" you must permit the presence who are you opposite. In this, the intolerant will prey upon the weak of the tolerant and turn them to hate and assimilate them into their fear and hate mongering.
The time for the wakeup call for the left is to expel the intolerant from this country or the political stage. We do not tolerate intolerance.
